Local Management is great. Sonepar and upper Vallen management is not helpful.

I work with a lot of great people and we have a lot of freedom. There is opportunity for advancement, but timing is everything and you have to be in with the right people. The pay seems to be fairly competitive too.

Cons

Poor management to say the least. Most managers have no clue about what their employees do or how they get it done. Upper management is always changing and moving around. There is little to no communication and training. You have to be very self driven to be successful. The website is terrible and the ordering system is very frustrating.

Pros

Ability to farm and hunt for business. Flexible schedule and not micro-managed. Two wonderful support team members.

Cons

Good old boys network for sure on my team. No viable training, complex internal system, IT help desk and HR are the absolute worst!!! Way too much work for AR's and not enough support. No processes in place for VMI implementation or VMI management, not enough operations support to help get VMI programs up and running. Very little opportunities for advancement within the company.
