Pros

Steady paycheck Close to booze where I can drink my feelings They say you need to speak english, but you don't really.

Cons

Every temp was fired in december to try to cut costs. They lie to customers, especially Boeing, about production data. Production control is a bunch of jerks. I believe both the manager and his 2nd in command are actually lizard people, as they are soulless sociopaths devoid of feeling compassion. They'll throw you under the bus to save their hides. No bonuses, no christmas party, they'll lie to you about both. Serious safety hazards, safety committee is a joke. A man sliced both of his hands on a table saw last year. They put up a warning sign. Old boys club, LEAN manager is a sexual harassment lawsuit waiting to happen. Almost all upper management is men and it shows. They're moving the seattle facility to Everett. They'll give you little or no warning when your cell moves.

Pros

There’s many places where you can eat at lunch time

Cons

Culture os Vaupell is horrendous, there is no support whatsoever, there is no leadership at all, they care only to send parts out of the door to make money, they don’t care to make good parts and take the necessary time to go thru QA, many times parts are send from scrap. Money greediness and the pay scale is horrible.

Pros

Good schedule keeping, friendly coworkers, close to restaurants.... nothing else really...

Cons

Management is a joke and those who are in charge are egotistical and power mad. They will throw you under the bus if it meant they could get a promotion. After working there for so long, the vibe of mediocrity and failure had become a natural occurrence. It wasn't just uncommon for failure in leaders, instructions and work; it was TO BE EXPECTED. The routine for an assembler is very slave-driven. If you're one minute late; you're written up. If you're away from your desk (even though you have to move away for a job); you get scolded. If you mess up on part; you will never hear the end of it. As the title says, Vaupell has a very sweatshop-like style when conducting business. From personal experience, if they find out you have a natural knack working on something that isn't in your job description, then they will exploit that without compensation and without the promise of promotion. Benefits are bare minimum. Only 5 holidays and rate roughly of 1 day of PTO after working for two months. If you have to stay home due to sick kid or engine troubles and you do not have the sick or vacation time to pull it off. You are putting yourself in hot water with management. I left for a better job opportunity and so far it makes Vaupell's employee relationships look somewhat illegal. I mean, there's no good ventilation system for the toxic fumes emitting from the presses, Everyone is treated the same back handed way, and the only way to get to the top is to be cutthroat. I wouldn't recommend working here to anyone. And to those who are considering joining the Vaupell "family": DON'T. You are better than this place, and you should work where respect, kindness, and professionalism are exhibited.
