Pros

The reason I joined the company was because of the evidence I saw that Verbal Beginnings is growing quickly and invests heavily in its employees. No company is perfect, and there are challenges to the field that I think you'll see in every ABA org, but overall the management really cares and wants to help its employees grow. -Offers scholarships, extensive and ongoing training for Technicians/RBTs and BCBAs, promotes from within -Constantly looking to improve things -Great standard of treatment and ethics for the kiddos; solid parent training with clear expectations to keep field techs from walking into bad situations -Professional growth for techs including lead positions and supervisory positions -Good support system for BCBAs -Very good pay, lots of raise opportunities

Cons

Fast growth has led to some bottlenecks in communication. They seem to be working them out, but sometimes it takes a while to get new systems in place. Growing pains, but ultimately good ones. Scheduling gets confusing in the field.

Thank you for sharing your feedback! In the last 6 months we have hired a VP of Field Operations, a Clinical Director, and additional Clinical Coordinators to improve communication between supervisors and clinicians. We are glad you enjoy being on the team, and look forward to continuing to support your goals in ABA. Sincerely, Nick Chapell, co-CEO

Pros

Most employees where positive and are motivated, works hard to train staff, and pay is competitive.

Cons

Dishonest about hours and job placements. Scheduling is unprofessional and very unorganized, often showed up to appointments to find that that the family had canceled and called my supervisor who "forgot" to contact me. Shifts are always changing, and it's not well communicated, so you often drive out to a home only to find the family canceled. I even showed up for a shift once and found another staff person working my shift.

We’re sorry to hear your experience at Verbal Beginnings felt disorganized. Thanks to employee feedback about scheduling, we created a new position (promoting from within) to oversee everything schedule and attendance-related. We also made changes to scheduling for both clients and clinicians to prevent the kind of problems you mentioned. Please feel free to contact us to hear more about how we have improved our systems for Therapists and BCBAs, and thank you for your feedback. Sincerely, Nick Chappell, co-CEO
