Pros

There is not much anymore.

Cons

Updated job descriptions for management are unrealistic. The limits on the care we give our customers, like prohibiting a call a local pharmacy like Walgreens or CVS is ridiculous. You also want your HMs & COS to do their jobs, not delegate as much and work shifts on the floor 3-4 days and attend all the calls during the week. If you miss deadlines, you will be put on a list (seriously?). Compensation does not match the job demands. You will not feel appreciated or seen by anyone above you at all, ever.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a candid and detailed review. First and foremost, we want to acknowledge and thank you for your many years of service. Tenured leaders like you are vital to our team, and it is difficult to hear that your views about Vetcor have changed recently. We recognize that the veterinary industry is changing rapidly, and with that comes shifts in operational expectations. We take your "Advice to Management" seriously; medical autonomy has always been important to us. We don't want our teams feeling like they are under a microscope. We want them to feel empowered. We would love to continue this conversation with you on a more personal level and encourage you to reach out to your RM to discuss these concerns further.

Pros

absolutely nothing! The worst to employees.

Cons

They took over and and said "nothing is going to change." and "Don't tell anyone we bought out" dishonest, expensive, the "benefits" suck. Just overall horrible.

Pros

My clinic is great, and we have great employees. The doctors are dedicated and care about their patients. We get a decent pet discount and an average amount of PTO.

Cons

They used to be okay until they merged with PPV and brought in a new CEO. Since then, we have lost more and more autonomy. They treat every clinic like we are the same; it doesn't matter how big or small, or which part of the country you are in. The pricing structures and increases are not sustainable for our clients, and we will be priced out of business. We were a very successful practice prior to Vetcor, but they no longer care what our opinions or thoughts are. No one in corporate works in a clinic anymore and are so very far removed from what actually matters. All they care about is money, and it is devastatingly sad. They now track everything, from doctor schedules down to the minute to all prices. We cannot change any prices or we get a nasty email from corporate. Raises are a joke and barely cover the cost of living. Paid CE for support staff is laughable. We have to use the suppliers they partner with, and they will not allow us to do outside prescriptions for clients unless they come in for a written prescription. They also won't let us do any price matching, so clients that are loyal to us are really getting the short end of the stick.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We genuinely value the perspective of our long-term team members, especially those who have been with us through the transitions of the last few years. It is encouraging to hear that you have such a dedicated team of doctors and staff at your practice. We agree that our clinic-level teams are the heart of what we do. However, it is clear from your comments that you are feeling a significant disconnect between your local operations and our corporate support structure. We are committed to ensuring our operational standards empower your team rather than restrict the dedicated care that makes your clinic successful. Hospital autonomy is incredibly important to us. We encourage you to reach out to your Regional Manager directly so we can better understand your practice's specific needs and work toward a more collaborative path forward. Again, we appreciate your insight and value the contributions you have made to your team, and Vetcor, the past few years.
