Worst Company Ever!!!!

Pros

Resume builder and nothing more

Cons

Essentially everything - Pay is sub par - Lies lies lies - Company's financial health is questionable - No loyalty - Upper management that knows and does nothing - Answer to everything is managers need to work more hours - Quick to fire even their best employees for pathetic reasons while allowing others to slide with much worse. (ie recently let go best DM in company due to there being FLP issues in 2 of her stores..(normal)..while a fairly new DM had 4 FLP issues in 2 weeks and nothing was said to him or the previous DM who had been promoted to a RD. Really??? - Threats to even the most diligent managers, working 70+ hours per week, in the best stores that they will be transferred and/or let go if the do not attain certain unrealistic goals...always in fear for your job - Always having people arrested for FLP issues and ruining their name locally only to not show up to court due to lack of evidence...I have witnessed this twice with ppl I am well acquainted with. - Forget about work/life balance

A Wireless is consistently recognized by Verizon as a leader in all markets we are in and recently signed a new contract with A Wireless for another long term period. Financially we were recognized in Inc. magazine for the 3rd year in a row as a member of the Inc. 5000, the 5000 fastest growing companies in the United States. We are on solid financial ground.

Now hiring: Minimum wage slaves

Pros

-They're always hiring thanks to employee churn, you can't ask for more in this economy. -Amazing writers in HR, I've haven't seen a better written fabrication since reading 50 Shades of Grey (my wife made me read it, that author is the next Emily Dickenson in my opinion).

Cons

-The pay is offensive. AT&T Wireless Retailers pay nearly double hourly and have obtainable quotas. Even McDonald's offers higher compensation. $7.50 an hour is not a living wage. -Sales Quotas are completely out of reach. Always 5x higher than what you will sell on a good month. -Hours are constantly cut back. -Benefits suck. I can get cheaper health insurance privately, which says a lot... -Way too many sales consultants in each store. -Open 7 days a week, including holidays. I didn't know we were competing with Taco Bell. -No opportunity in moving up. If a Store Leader position is available they will hire outside of the company.

Pros

you get retail experience? i guess. some places have a 10.00 start pay?

Cons

low pay, horrible management, lies, drama, they do chargeback. look at the other reviews.. dont they seem fishy? . higher prices then anyone else.. horrible bundle packages, manage with fear i started in december in a new store, Within the first two months six people were hired and they are all gone. When i transferred to another store there were 4 other people there. 3 f these people are already gone. I know retail has a high turnover rate , but come on.. also if you are in NJ do not let them charge you for their shirts!. COMPLETELY ILLEGAL AND THEY KNOW IT BUT THREATEN TO FIRE YOU IF YOU SAY ANYTHING> ITS 156 DOLLARS FOR THESE SHIRTS THAT MANY STORES DONT EVEN USE!!!! they deduct for anything they can. also now that verizon doesn't do 20 month upgrades the company is scared and is trying to sell fios, good luck selling fios in a crowded market .. but if you dont .. you get fired

ABC Phones of NC, Inc is the legal name of A Wireless. We requested glassdoor to merge the accounts to avoid future confusion. Thank you.
