Great place to work if you embrace change

Pros

Frequently changing environment, new business opportunities, great growth potential What I love about vRad is that the environment is always growing, changing and providing a new challenge. A lot of investment is made into technology, making it fun to come into work and be able to work with brand new technologies. The flexible work schedule that most people get to take advantage of is also a nice perk. The overall office culture is pretty laid back and most people are great to work with. People who excel are recognized and are moved up into leadership. A lot of leadership at vRad has been born from regular part time or full time positions which shows the company promotes growing from within.

Cons

The radiology industry is always changing and facing new challenges. There have been a lot of negative comments about vRad but not all is in the control of the company. The radiology industry has been in turmoil for years. There have been ups and downs the entire time I have been at the company but if the industry is falling, the company can only do so much before its impacted as well. A lot of the complaints on Glassdoor come from people who didn't excel at work or just have a poor attitude all together. There are big things happening in radiology and vRad is going to be riding the wave ahead of the rest. As far as comments about the CTO, he has been more than encouraging when it comes to individuals careers, if the individual is willing to put in the work and prove they can lead. I dont understand why people "expect" things at work versus earn them. I guess that is an attribute of the modern day American culture.

Pros

Casual dress code, handful of great employees that get it.

Cons

If i could make my rating a negative star i would. I agree w everything others are saying, and i find it interesting that just last week all the CO's were canned. Rick, Bronwyn and another dude and the email stated it's to hold ppl accountable. They are cleaning house but not near soon enough. Bad benies--over $200/month for single coverage on just the basics-health/dental/vision, bad corporate office ppl, bad management, no supervision, no accountability, no respect, HR once flat out told me they weren't there for me, they were there to interpret the policies to me. and that's a quote. they promote the worst possible ppl for new jobs they don't even post for. If i'da known then what i know now, i wouldnt have said yes when they pursued me.

Pros

There USED to be good people there, most of them are long gone now.

Cons

Poor Management, as mentioned in other reviews the CTO should have been fired long ago...too much attention paid to the Rads and their compensation and not enough to the rest of the employees. Terrible benefits, terrible communication, too many of the top performers are gone now leaving only a few left and those left are waiting for the ax to fall. They've went through 2 CEO's in a little over a year. 3 layoffs in a little over a year...including 48 in one day, a textbook mismanaged company that was once an industry leader.
