Pros

Generous entry-level compensation and a generally agreeable working environment. Reasonable sick/vaca packages and excellent benefits. Very nice employee base.

Cons

Typical office politics and brown nosing. It's the kind of place where you learn the work/industry on the job (for most dept's). Can be difficult to get noticed if looking to advance within the company/ increase payscale

Pros

Bonuses, but not very much. Opportunity to work within private Healthcare organization. Connections to experts in their field, humanizing and relate to high level professionals.

Cons

Salary is far from competitive and benefits do not fill in the gap. Job description does not align with duties, in many cases the work expectations, demands, and complications increased to the point where regular tasks became a secondary prioty without re-evaluation of tasks at neither a local or corporate level. Annual evaluation is not based upon assigned tasks or objective data, but instead subjective surveys, and weighted not aligned with work priorities. Very little true business oversight of management within faction of the organization, which caused neglect of a variety of staff issues, stress, frustration, and ultimately attrition in waves. Lacked use of evidence based practice in staff models, expectations, compensation planning, as well as disciplinary plans.

Pros

If you want to just go to work, earn OK pay, and do a mediocre job, this is it. The slowest, least productive member of the team earns the same as the most productive member. And-- you don't get canned for being slow. Your year-end bonus is pitiful your first year, and increases logarithmically until your fifth year.

Cons

Have to buy their health insurance-- they are self-insured, so the premiums are high, and starting out you are just subsidizing someone else's bad health. While you are a "partner"-- you really don't have any voice in decision making, be it at the local level, let alone the Vituity level. Oh-- BTW---if your local director decides to-- he can just take you off the schedule, eliminating your income. You're still a partner-- you're just not working. And, you have no recourse. And, they have a noncompete clause. And-- they can-- and have-- taken money earned at one location and moved it to another location-- to keep the second spot viable. They stole one sites money.
