Pros

Easy quick money especially if you are in college

Cons

Move every summer to a different location and can get wearing Except for a few reps, most sales guys are entitled and over promise which make it very difficult when dealing with the customer Work around 70+ hours There are not many opportunities to move up and most managers have invested to much money to quit. (The company provides stock for them, but it is lost if they leave) I graduated from school and tried to get a "corporate job" there but they only hire their buddies.

Pros

free food and meal tickets which gets you free subway, waffle love, coasta vita, and more. Variety of hours to choose from. work as early as 4am or as late as 8pm maybe even later.

Cons

the training was an absolute joke. my dog could have trained me better than they did. the management is joke as well. they tell you one thing and then get mad at you for doing exactly what they just told you to do. also management is very lazy. and HR is IMPOSSIBLE to get in contact with. oh and vivint is a VERY shady company. they scam their customers big time.

Pros

I started with Vivint in 2013 and was part of a real growth that the company was experiencing due to advanced technology they had and the drive to be the best home security with automation company in North America. It was a faced pace yet rewarding opportunity. The people at the management level are very motivated and incentivized to get you to give 100% each and every day.

Cons

For me the downside of the inside sales department was not being able to use the accrued PTO. It was difficult to get approved days off especially it was what they considered short notice. I will admit they took it case by case and it was frustrating to never really know who had the final say as everything is done digitally. The most frustrating part of any commission job is the pay structure and Vivint was constantly changing theirs. It seemed that whenever we were doing well the pays sale would change so that it put more pressure on us as the company just continued to do well. I will miss working there but do not miss the ever constant changing of every policy as well as the continuous flow of new policies and procedures that got got the point no one really knew where they stood at any given time.
