Pros

The biblical mission of the company is great and the relationships between the salesmen are typically pretty good. Current VP of sales seems to want to make positive changes (but handcuffed by corporate)

Cons

No clear sales vision from corporate. Very much an US v THEM mentality. The company is not very “salesman friendly”. Very low pay compared to other sales companies with poor benefits. No chance of advancement. Very top heavy with management. Only 1% 401k marching and you even have to pay 30% of your company phone. They also track you with GPS in your own personal car

Pros

I’ve been with the company a few years and am throughly impressed by everything I see. Some complain of low wage but I’ve found the compensation to be fair and making more than I have in my life. But the most incredible part of the company is the family feel at the local branch level and the connection to other salesman around the nation. Salesman are given the freedom to push hard and find success without feeling micromanaged. Best of all there is integrity and a single mission to sell Lighting Solutions in order to share the gospel with a dark world.

Cons

Too many programs and technology that is not integrated. Too many layers of middle management. Nothing that impacts the daily work of the people on the streets...

As long as one desires to work, one can continue to work there--provided no rules are broken.

Pay is quite low and opportunities for advancement are quite limited.
