      Pros

      You get to go to Florida for training & also stay in a nice condo and eat great food doing training

      Cons

      Everything, where do I even start. First thing is the pay which is 14.03. The catch is they trick you with the first 90 days of pay which you are on your probation period and the pay is 16.50 for only the first 90 days. Moreover, the pay system is designed for you to lose due to all of the safety rules and the short amount of time you have to pick up can/go to transfer station and bring can back to property. This company sucks beware please think twice.

      Pros

      awesome coworkers, great benefits- one of the best anywhere. Great place for people entering the workforce and looking to advance into different divisions.

      Cons

      Too many layoffs and restructuring initiatives. Not a lot of good project management as the company consistently changes direction after investing tons of money and time only to scrap the program.

      Great salary, great benefits, great people to work with!

      Too many layoffs!!!! No ones job is safe there; which is unfortunate. PLEASE TAKE NOTE: if happen to get hired to work in the corporate office downtown Houston, always keep your eyes open for jobs elsewhere because when the layoffs come... and they have every year for the past 3 or 4, they will be ruthless and many!!! t Spoke with a current employee who said they asked one of the VP's when the last round of layoffs would be. They told them "They will NEVER be done laying off ever year". Always cutting staff to satisfy stock holders. ONce again, if hired, keep looking until you find something stable because, unfortunately Waste Management isn't any longer! : (
