With every company there are some cons. Not all cons are necessarily cons for everybody though.
This is a pretty big company, with big companies there is confusion about who owns which applications or lots of overhead to get things done (like access).
When the pandemic is not happening, we still have a pretty large remote worker population and there are also many offices all over the country. This can make communication difficult and possibly inconsistent (i.e. a room full of people for a meeting and a few people on the phone, when the meeting is over the phone hangs up but someone in the room asks a question. the person on the phone would miss it).
The cafeteria on the Madison campus is okay, but not very healthy. The salad bar is an option, but sometimes we want something healthy that isn't salad! Oh and it is so hard to resist the vending machines when Jalapeno Cheetos are available.
Lots of restructures have been happening since I have started working here, not necessarily a con but can cause confusion about who to reach out to and what groups are called what now.
