Pros

Many training opportunities and wonderful team members. The employees are the stars of this organization. Working in the front office is a better experience than at the main office.

Cons

Office politics are in the way, too many mid-upper level management, and it is clear management doesn't care if employees leave.

Pros

The benefits are great, among the best around, it actually makes it very hard to leave here once you become acclimated to this compared to what is offered elsewhere.

Cons

The lack of respect for employees and what they bring to table is disheartening. The politics here have gotten out of hand to where I would have never thought possible when I began employment here. No one in upper management seems concerned as awareness regarding this issues has been raised by several people and nothing has been done and people continue to leave.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional benefits and creating a culture that is supportive and we’re delighted that you experienced that first hand. You are correct that we don’t currently offer paid maternity leave, but many employees are able to use their paid leave, in combination with other resources like short-term disability and our donated leave program, to keep income flowing in while bonding with their newest additions. Career growth is something we take very seriously. Admittedly, branch employees do have fewer in-branch roles to move up to, since there are a limited number of leadership roles within branches. We have quite a few employees who love working in a branch environment and are committed to waiting for opportunities to open up. However, in our back office, there are an abundance of opportunities and we’d encourage employees to consider all possible avenues toward their career growth. We often see employees move around the CU in order to move up.
