Pros

Option to occasionally work from home when absolutely necessary, good music plays all day, full bar and allowed to drink last hour of work, lots of people my age range (early-late 20's), relaxed environment, great training program, great base pay + commission, cheap insurance cost, $50 /mo towards cell phone bill

Cons

None that I can think of right away

Pros

Worldwide Express, provides a solid foundation for a career in sales. The training programs at the Dallas headquarters are exceptional! You learn the complete sales cycle and how to communicate effectively with decision makers. Offices are closed for three weeks in December.

Cons

- lack of leadership and guidance - below market salaries and flawed compensation plans in favor of the franchise - young male dominated frat culture - ten to eleven hour work days - account executives cold call 90% of the time - extremely high layoff rate * There were fifty people in my training class. One year later only four of us were still working for the company.

Great Starting Sales Job

Pros

Great training program and good pay. You'll learn how tough sales can be and if it's really for you! Managers really did want to see you succeed and stay with the company.

Cons

When I first started we worked really long hours, but they became more flexible over time. As much as they wanted there to be lots of upward mobility, it still can stall out if you're unable to relocate. Highly, highly competitive environment.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We do invest heavily in training our employees and benchmark roles annually to offer the most optimal pay. As with any sales job, the harder you work, the higher the earning potential. We do currently offer a 401(k) and are also exploring more long-term beneficial retirement plan options.

I really like working here

Pros

By far the best company I've worked for. There are different offices throughout the country, so your experience may depend on where you are located. Starting pay was decent, healthcare is good and very cheap for employee only, vacation time is fair, lots of office parties, generous Christmas bonus, quarterly bonuses, not micro managed, great coworkers, great workspace, easy onboarding process, free snacks/coffee/soda.

Cons

The training program for my position was non existent, but people are very patient with you and you learn as you go. Company is relocating and there has been very little information shared with those losing their jobs about when the last day will be. No 401k match.

Pros

I thought it was going to help propel my sales career. Unfortunately, the only thing that helped was the training program which was corporate driven.

Cons

I thought this job was for me. The owner kept speaking very highly of the company retreats, benefits, etc. This position was everything but the truth. Cold Call after cold call all day long. 8-5 pm on M-F you spend your time cold calling. Never focus on personal development. Seems like they only care about the bottom line and not much else. Barely make anything in commissions but promise the bank and more.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. After completing an extensive training program which consists of classroom and field training, our Account Executives do prospect for new business. As they begin to grow their book of business, they are then provided quality leads which makes the day-to-day activities start to evolve including the managing of accounts.

Pros

This is a fantastic company for anyone who is interested in outside sales. The initial training program is a crash course in outside sales and gives you a huge leg up on understanding how to be successful in outside sales. I can’t say enough about my office and the culture of the company which rewards those who work hard and continually motivate you to be at your best. I had been in a corporate environment doing IT prior to WWEX, but if you are willing to put yourself out there and take the right approach, then you can be successful at this company.

Cons

Outside sales is a career that requires a very specific personality. This job is demanding and requires long hours and discipline, but your hard work is rewarded. It can also be lonely to a certain extent having to cold call by yourself day in and day out, but it is something that you get used to over time.

Pros

The company Is great for people who are looking towards and entry level role out of college. The companies corporate training program is one of the best in the business at advancing you professionally.

Cons

The company is franchise owned and therefore doesn’t have the corporate umbrella. They play by their own rules. If you expect this to be an easy job then steer clear. They hammer you constantly on a daily basis to cold call (door to door) constantly 24/7 365. You are a glorified lead generator with little to no reward. The comp plan is completely inaccurate as you will barely break $100 dollars in commission monthly until your book is built. When your book is built expect to make no more than $400 monthly. They really enjoy making your hard work turn into “house accounts” so they don’t have to pay high commissions.

This review was posted in reference to one of Worldwide Express’ Franchise offices. Our Franchises are given full autonomy and this franchise operates much differently than Worldwide Express Corporate. WWEX Corporate has recently changed our new business acquisition strategy to provide targeted and qualified leads to our Account Executives. After the first six months, the average Account Executive is only spending 25% of their time prospecting for new leads. Worldwide Express Corporate provides a competitive base salary plus an uncapped and residual commission plan where commissions are paid monthly. Our top performers earn well into the six figures.
