Pros

- The company culture is like no other. Hundreds of like-minded, energetic, competitive peers that love to win. - You get what you put in. If you come to work every day and do your job, you WILL make money. It is that simple. And if you are willing to come in a little early sometimes, stay a little late sometimes, and focus while you're there, you won't just make money. You will make MORE money than the majority of your peers. - At a young age, you are taught to communicate with C-level executives - CEOs, CFOs, Controllers. There aren't a lot of jobs you can start right out of college that give you that opportunity. You learn quickly how to have intelligent, business-minded conversations. This is a franchise-based company, which means you are surrounded by small business owners and have a wealth of knowledge in resources at your fingertips. - Incentives. This is a franchise-based company, so incentive programs vary by office. But in my experience, the comp plans are aggressive, fair, and allow you the opportunity to make whatever sum of money you want to make - so long as you're willing to do the work. Not only that, but there are contests all year, trips, and the best annual National Sales Conference in Florida where you get to celebrate the prior year with your colleagues and get on stage if you fought hard enough to win. - Training. There are several layers of training programs over the course of your career to help you develop into the best possible salesperson. - If you are in your 20s and looking to be successful, this is where you want to be. You won't get this type of experience elsewhere. But this is not for the lazy and unmotivated - if you are not someone who is motivated by success and by winning, you will not last long. Too many people jump in for the amazing opportunity just to blame the company for their lack of success when the reality is, they weren't willing to put in the effort. Success isn't free, people!

Cons

Long term career growth can be tough to come by depending on what office/franchise you work for. This is the nature of a franchise-based organization though, and as the company continues to explode in growth, so will these opportunities.

Pros

Great training program which is done by corporate in Dallas. It's franchise based so I can't speak on every franchise but the owners and management at mine were cool.

Cons

Churn and burn type of atmosphere, never met a Rep who lasted more than 2 years. It's not necessarily a bad thing, you'll learn a lot about logistics and outside sales then you can go some where better.

Pros

Great training program, fun work environment, excellent business model, reliable partner carriers. The upside to this business is huge

Cons

The sales position forces you to think outside your comfort zone, but this is not always a bad thing. I've learned to get comfortable outside my comfort zone.

Pros

Training program is extensive and ideal for someone looking to establish a career in sales. The advancement, office environment and financial opportunities are better than most companies looking for entry level sales people.

Cons

The position can be demanding but for the right personality, its a great fit.

Pros

If you are willing to hustle, this is a great place to start a career. Great office environment and company culture. Has to be one of the best training programs in the country. Management won't throw you to the wolves (like I have heard about other sales positions), they work with you and want you to be successful. There are tons of contests and bonuses for those who are competitive.

Cons

Just with any sales position, it can be stressful. You are going to have your good days, and your bad days. Its all about how you react to those bad days. If you let little things get to you, you might want to look for a career outside of sales.

Pros

The pros are limited but ..Great corporate training program. Some freedom. Solid stepping stone to a real sales career in the future.

Cons

Extremely high turnover. No management. Saturated market. You only have one thing to sell so there's no up selling current customers. Prices rarely beat FedEx prices. No market to sell to. Obscene amount of driving that's not payed for. Unprofessional company.

Pros

The environment is very competitive. A list of who's hot lately is reviewed once a week. You can see where your sales number stand in relation to everyone else in the company. Training is excellent. There are levels of training programs in which you participate throughout your career here.

Cons

As an account manager, this program is not ideal. The success (money to be made) of an account manager is governed and impacted by the account executives and sales manager. They can kill an account managers retention without any remorse. There is a very high turn over rate here for AM and AE. If your AE sets up a client poorly with bad expectations, the AM is liable for the account if it fails. However, the AE is paid and rewarded for the "New Sale". You will be expected to perform unethical billing to your clients and come up with some excuse as to why it occurred in the first place (if the client finds out). As an AM, your average day is about 10hr long every day.

Pros

For anyone who is interested in outside sales this is absolutely the best company to work for. The initial training program is a crash course in outside sales and helps you jump start your career. The continued support from management helps keep you motivated and maximizing your full potential.

Cons

An outside sales job requires a very specific personality. This is fast paced job that demands a hardworking attitude, but your hard work definitely pays off.
