Pros

I have never worked for a company that has such a "we care about you" mentality before. Here at Wayspring I feel like I matter as more than an employee. I feel valued as a person. Almost like family. I've been with the company over 2 years, and I truly plan to stay until I'm at retirement age. The workplace culture here is unmatched. I feel respected and heard by management. I feel truly appreciated by the entire team. Our HR department is top notch. They have gone above and beyond for me when I had a tough situation this summer, and it showed me how important I was to the organization as a team member and a person. I love the values of Wayspring. I love our mission. My role is remote, so it fits perfectly with what I need at this point in my life. Remote roles can be somewhat challenging to find a way to maintain a sense of belonging and closeness with other team mates, but I don't feel like is an issue at all here. I am extremely close to the majority of the people at the company in all departments across all markets. (Have I mentioned I love Wayspring?!!!)

Cons

If I had to come up with a con I would feel very hard pressed to do so. After thinking on this awhile I would say that constant change is the biggest/only con I can come up with. The business model has changed several times in my 2 years here; my role/title has changed 4 times, and I have been moved from manager to manager. Thankfully I came in knowing it was expected to happen as Wayspring was still considered a startup at that time. However, change fatigue is a very real thing, so just be aware upfront that change is a part of life at Wayspring. Thankfully management listens closely to our feedback and makes adjustments as needed.

Pros

I really love working for Wayspring and being part of a company that embraces the mission of helping humans. I have never worked at a company before that has so many employees focused on finding ways to accomplish this and are motivated to work together. The leadership also understands that we all think differently and that it takes all types to reach our goals. It is nice to truly feel that I can voice my thoughts and am encouraged to do so.

Cons

It is hard to keep up with what all the different groups in the company are working on, so there is some overlap in efforts. In the process of finding the best way to use and keep data, tools have changed many times. This has the disadvantage of slowing down progress while learning something new but can also be a pro to learn many new things.
