Pros

benefits, PTO after a couple years, free trip to Utah for training

Cons

Where do I begin?? First off know that the majority of these reviews are done by the marketing team and fake. The company begs their employees to do reviews but only if they are positive and the current employees are not posting these. -commission structure changes, taking more and more from the Recruiters -incompetent leadership, including executive leadership -meetings to have meeting, waste of time. only leadership has time for them since they do nothing. -managers hired from outside of company with no experience and have no idea how to coach and train b/c they do know to industry -forced fun. "work hard, book days people, get on the phones, don't talk but look like you are having fun when the cameras are around" -boys club-only place that allows the male mangers to sexually harass the females, date their subordinates but if a female does it, she is fired. Still unsure how they haven't been sued or maybe they have been cult like/mean girls & boys club-good luck to the new people!

None of these reviews have been done by our marketing team. We also take sexual harassment very seriously and hope that if you witnessed any such behavior you reported it.

Pros

Benefits 401k match Base salary is ok 45K They feed you a lot The executive team is great. Bill is a really great guy!

Cons

I have so many negative things to say about this company. While the executive team is nice and I really respect them I CANNOT say the same about middle management! They are helicopter managers!!! They listen to all of your calls without letting you know. I understand they need to make sure you’re doing your job and not slacking off... but every call ?! If you can’t trust your employees why hire them?! They say that it’s not micromanagement but a way to help you grow... no it’s micromanagement!!! They hound you about numbers and claim that they are trying to help patients. However the longer you stay the more you see that is not the case! It’s all about the numbers! They are not considerate of the doctors. They will try to force a match where there is not one. They make doctors commit to what they can’t do which results in a lot of fall off! When you try to be patient and wait for the right match for your doctor your manager will hound you to find something right away instead even if it’s not a good timing for your doctor. I had a doctor quit on me because he was too hounded by my manager which made him feel extremely uncomfortable and he chose to go with another locums company! He said it had nothing to do with me but the fact that my manager made him feel extremely uncomfortable and pushed! I understand stretching your doctor but stretching them to the point they are uncomfortable is not ok. There was also a point in time where our manager told one of our consultants to tell his doctor to not go to his friends funereal because he was on assignment with us! That is absolutely disgusting! My manager also had no regards for my personal life. Telling me taking any PTO is asking for trouble! This job is tiring employees NEED their PTO!!! It is managers like this that make the job feel like a glorified telemarketing position! It doesn’t motivate you it makes you regret going to work it makes you MISERABLE! This is not why I started working at Weatherby. I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. I was sold in the interview that this is what I would be doing but not all that glitters is gold! Once you’re working at Weatherby you get the intense pressure to success in CORE and your job is already being threatened at that point... CORE lasts for 8 weeks and you receive the constant reminder that if you do not pass with an 80% you will lose your job! Now getting out of CORE the real work begins. You have to make 95+ calls a day. Along with that you have a large number of apps you must get, presents you must get, as well as full applications including the doctors documents you have to get. Now this isn’t awful however hardly anyone hits all of their numbers! But if your new you must worry about losing your job because of these. There is no job security at this company! New consultants are used and thrown out and their doctors are given to tenured consultants.

The Big Lie

Pros

Pay and Benefits are above average.

Cons

I had the unfortunate experience of working with Weatherby Healthcare and I must say it was not a pleasant working environment. This company's appalling culture and complete disregard for work/life balance left me feeling utterly disappointed and drained. If you value your mental well-being and personal life, stay away from this company. Their management direction is - if you tell people they are being treated fairly and given work/life balance, they will eventually believe it. It's evident Weatherby had a toxic work environment. The management team seemed more interested in pushing their own agendas than supporting their employees. There was an overwhelming lack of transparency, with information kept from employees, leading to confusion and frustration among the workforce. They push KPI metrics and margin, which makes sense for a staffing company but management is not able to lead without fear and threatening practices. The entire executive team has a "do as I say, not as I do attitude." The so-called "culture" is all fake - it's smoke and mirrors. Employees were pitted against each other, fostering an unhealthy competitive atmosphere. Rather than encouraging collaboration and mutual growth, the focus was solely on price gouging clients and unrealistic KPIs, resulting in a cutthroat environment that left everyone feeling isolated and anxious. Price gouging is common practice, and in some cases, Weatherby is making as much as the physicians from an assignment. Poor communication, incorrect information and overall bad business practices happens with regularity for both physicians and clients. Moreover, the work/life balance at Weatherby was an absolute joke. Despite promising a flexible schedule, it was clear they expected us to put the company before family and self well-being. Management regularly demanded more without any regard for our personal lives, causing undue stress and negatively impacting our well-being. It's a churn and burn company with decent benefits to shine up a turd. It was evident that the company prioritized profit over employee welfare. Our concerns and feedback were brushed aside, and any attempts to discuss work/life balance were met with resistance and apathy. The company's leadership seemed to think that squeezing every drop of productivity from their workforce was the only path to success, without recognizing the toll it took on our mental and physical health. If a leader feels they can advance themselves by coaching and disciplining an employee they will do it. However, If you're a culture fit you should be safe, while good people leave and the company re-assigns their business to others. They reward fakeness and anyone who plays along with the culture masquerade. Furthermore, there was a complete lack of support for professional growth and development. This is a dead end job for most. Instead of investing in their employees' skills and abilities, Weatherby preferred to hire new employees rather than nurturing existing talent within the organization. This lack of investment further exacerbated the already toxic culture and contributed to a high turnover rate. Staffing has a high turnover rate as it is but Weatherby has such a monumental turnover rate and poor engagement scores I don't know how anyone in upper management is still employed. In summary, my time at Weatherby was a disheartening and draining experience. The toxic culture, poor work/life balance, and lack of support for employee growth were all too apparent. I strongly advise anyone considering working with this company to think twice and seek opportunities elsewhere. They will bleed you dry and dispose of you without any remorse. Your mental health and personal life are worth far more than the misery you'll find at Weatherby.
