Pros

Friendly people focused on getting the job done. I enjoyed working with colleagues who were engaged. The pay is somewhat competitive for the area.

Cons

The location of Weld County Offices is relatively isolated from many metro areas, including Denver suburbs, making the commute difficult.

The pay in Weld County is better then other Colorado counties of similar size but is still low compared to private companies with similar responsibilities.

Cons

Though it considers itself a rural county it is only rural in land use not in population growth and diversity. Because of this growth and diversity the county needs to adapt more progressive methods of governance in response to needs of this community. Though the county prides itself on being free of long term debt it shows in the lack of services, facilities and backwards thinking of the board of commissioners.
