Pros
Independently owned Woodcraft franchise with owner on the premises daily. Mostly good customers, good coworkers, easy work if you are or have been a woodworker and know how the products are used. It's nice to help people with their projects. Quarterly bonus.
Cons
Minimum wage for specialized knowledge. It's a revolving door. Anyone can and does get fired at the drop of a hat. Only one employee still remains from the crew of three years ago. Fear based. No recognition for anything you do well. In fact, the owner might cut you down to size if you're proud of anything you've done for the store. Your bonus gets taken away on a whim. I lost 2 bonuses. There is no job security, no matter how well you perform or what special thing you contribute. The owner uses trumped up charges for dismissal if real ones can't be found. He can turn on a dime from friendly to mean.
