Laid back atmosphere, good customer base, casual attire, some opportunity to learn (if you’re part-time-full time people don’t really have the time), job security
Cons
Systemic sexism, resistance to any and all change, absolutely zero benefits, schedule is worked to benefit (very) part time people.
Great atmosphere for a woodworker. Good employee discounts, usually good and friendly customers that make for interesting conversation. Good club activities to be involved in.
Cons
Very cheap company, extremely low pay especially for the caliber of employees they have. Structure nearly everything on underpaying part time employees with nearly no ft employees. Very poor management in place. They have a strict policy of not returning power tools which is a terrible policy for customers and not in line with competition.
