Good starting place? Maybe...

Pros

- Flexible work schedule - Dress-code is relaxed

Cons

- The pay is really low - Drama in the office (avoid the breakroom at all costs) - Not a team environment - Rude people -If you are young, watch out and don't even bother to try to contribute new/fresh ideas to this old-fashioned business model. Some of the high-level management folks, CEO included, are stuck in outdated business practices.

Unethical behaviors overlooked

Pros

Remote work and excellent pay.

Cons

Being employed at WorkCare became a nightmare. I should have run with the first red flag. When offered the position, HR commented that the supervisor "thinks she can work with you." Thinks?....thinks?...hummmm... At first, I enjoyed the position. I felt like I was fitting into my role. After about two to three months, I started to realize that my boss was a terrible communicator and extremely micromanaging to the point where I couldn't leave my desk for 30 minutes to eat lunch. I was told we "don't have time for that," My supervisor became very condescending and accusatory. For a remote job, there was no work/life balance even though it was promised at the interview. When I needed guidance, the supervisor would take over the project, instead of taking the opportunity to teach me. "I will just do it," would be the response I would receive. I began working 10 to 12 hour days (salary) to keep up with the workload and I felt I was unable to provide my best work due to the fact I was tired and overworked. When I found out that my co-worker was stealing company time (hourly employee) and reported it, I was told I was not a team player and it "didn't matter" because the employee was "getting their projects done." It seemed like upper management did not care what-so-ever about the unethical behavior. I knew at that moment it was time for me to move on. My experience was so terrible that I left without a job lined up, I have no regrets.

Pros

Compensation. However, it is really canceled out by the way they treat you. It does not matter what someone pays you if they treat you like they could care less.

Cons

The upper management is young and I do not think they have any previous experience. Upper management has NO compassion for people. Their turn over rate has to be very high due to the way they treat people. I have experience as a national sales trainer and have been through 5 training classes with pharmaceutical companies and I can tell you for sure their training could not have been much worse. They expect you to remember the different types of patients you will be following up on and the appropriate questions to ask the patient. In addition, they want you to ask a patient a question and be typing their response at the same time. That may come with some time and muscle memory, but not on day 5 of the job!! There is not a list of the questions you need to ask the patient anywhere in writing, which is one of the most important things you need. Then they get upset because you forgot to ask one of twenty questions. I never did figure that one out. Obviously, the questions will vary depending on what the type of problem the patient has as well. You cannot go by previous call notes because a lot of the documentation they are looking for during training is not there. Management will sit behind you, not beside you, and listen to the first calls you make. You would presume you would practice with someone in your training class, but you do not. I felt like they just wanted to give me a hard time.
