Pros
I started working for Marathon 9 months ago and think it was the best decision I could have made. Marathon has all of the things you hope a company will have when you are job searching. Here are a few..
Salary & Benefits: No complaints. They treat their employees well. They even absorbed the increase of cost in our healthcare this year so that employee payments wouldn't go up.
Management: They are available and easy to talk to. They create a friendly environment where I feel that I can tell them my opinions and ideas and they listen and respond. During my first review, in addition giving me feedback on how I was doing, they asked me how they were doing and asked how they could improve. I thought that was awesome.
Career Development: I haven’t been here too long, but they have already invested in me. I have participated in leadership training courses, and been able to attend seminars so that I can continue learning.
Culture/Environment: The dress code is causal and jeans are okay! The environment is friendly, and everyone seems to be happy working here. The office manager always has something fun planned for the employees to participate in if they want to like the Biggest Loser competition, Halloween costume contests, Charity 5ks, Blue Claws games, etc. It gives employees the opportunity to have a little fun and get to know each other better, which forms a nice, friendly environment.
Free Lunch: Obviously, it’s awesome to not have to pack a lunch!
Cons
I really like working here and don't have anything bad to say about the company.
