Upper management and their cadre are completely disconnected from the concerns and needs of their employees. They are relentlessly pursuing cost-cutting measures, such as eliminating cell phone reimbursements for sales staff and imposing freezes on hiring and raises, all while imposing heavier workloads on already strained employees. Additionally, they are outsourcing order ex teams in an attempt to save insignificant amounts while they offer comical severance packages. Furthermore, they are transitioning from traditional paid time off (PTO) to flexible time off, which conveniently allows them to avoid paying out unused time off when further, inevitable layoffs occur. Meanwhile, the financial aspect of the company remains robust. Zayo possesses ample cash reserves and net cash flow, which could be utilized to provide better compensation (although still below market standards), yet they consciously choose not to do so. This decision ensures that when upper management eventually sells the company, they will yield the highest possible return on their investments. Regrettably, these actions demonstrate how upper management is betraying the loyalty and dedication of the employees who have worked alongside them for years. They have forfeited the trust of their peers in pennies so they can flaunt their gaudy bonus to their grad school classmates once move on the sale. This behavior is truly disgraceful and deeply disappointing.
