It's okay, I wouldn't recommend it but some may like it.

Pros

I personally didn't find many pros, which is why I left. As with most places you encounter, there are some really great people but that does not make up for the areas where it falls short. They do a lot of volunteer work around the community, that is to be commended, they also are heavily involved with CU and other local small businesses. The company is not evil or anything, the way it was run just wasn't for me, that is all. I would say career opportunities are definitely a pro, they will promote anyone to any job regardless of qualifications, which is also a huge con because you may be working with and for people who have zero clue what they are doing.

Cons

It feels very disorganized, and at times it is a complete and utter mess. Work/Life balance is essentially non-existent, they preach flexibility until but depending on your area/boss don't expect it to be universal. I felt the compensation package was very poor, especially in a higher than average rent zone like Boulder, while they do offer quarterly ICC & RSU's (15 month vest), the base salary is near or at the bottom of most job ranges. It seems like the perfect job for college grads who are unaware you can make substantially more money elsewhere or very established veterans of the industry who aren't as concerned about salary but more concerned about future savings which the RSUs would be great for. The compensation piece is probably the biggest piece that gets brought up almost daily by employees and definitely in every town hall with Dan Caruso, to the point they have had to send out company wide emails and salesforce chatter posts reminding people this is what they signed up for.

Pros

Only positive thing about this place is that they have good medical benefits. They offer several options and tiers depending on what you want to pay.

Cons

Zero stars but had to give it at least 1 to submit this review. There are just too many to list. Very chaotic and stressful work environment and nobody knows what they are supposed to do. Pay is below average and they justify it by saying you get bonuses(which are not guaranteed) and not much. One of the most unprofessional places ever and very poor management. Issues and concerns are not dealt with at all. This place works you to death.

Pros

- A few very talented and hardworking teams within the company, however they are quickly disappearing. - Extensive fiber footprint in many lucrative markets across the U.S, sadly poor data quality makes properly utilizing this network very difficult.

Cons

- Salary consistently 20% to 30% below market value across the company. - Quarterly cash and stock bonus payouts consistently well below the expected 10% of base salary figure pitched when hired. - Raises are very lacking and usually lower than annual cost of living increase. - 12-14 hour workdays expected if you want to rise up in the company. Often the facade of sitting at your desk 12 hours a day trumps actually working and producing material gain for the company. - Regardless of position, expect to be overworked and stretched far too thin over too many responsibilities. - Mission, culture and values are completely at odds with the reality of the company. - Management does not have their employees best interests at heart. - When promotions occur, there is no increase in compensation. Just the expectation to accept more responsibility, workload for the same wage. - Very few opportunities to take earned PTO and very few company holidays. - Poor, poor data quality of fiber infrastructure databases.
