Pros

free snacks, some people are actually very nice but I would say that is only 10% of the office

Cons

Management does not know how to communication with their team members, a lot of smack talking among groups, very high turnover due largely to amount of disrespect is thrown out to everyone. They abuse the people that work hard and praise the people that sit around and do nothing.

Pros

- I've made lifelong friends (some mentors) and so many of my team members were exceptional. - lots of varying clientele - good paid holidays / PTO days

Cons

- favoritism and kissing feet, if you can't shut down your morals and kiss a couple feet to climb this corporate ladder, then agency life in general is not for you -middle-senior leadership is twisted, greedy, fake, and stuck up. They do not respect you - they only care about how billable you are - ALL billable or nothing. They "encourage" you to "live fearlessly" and partake in DEI related programs / activations but ONLY on your additional free time. They'll allot a meet 2-5 hrs a month but also expect something spectacular. - Their DEI efforts are a joke, but that has to do we senior senior. The ones at the TOP - not the VPs-EVPs - the ones higher. - Severely underpaid, but they blame it on "industry standard", but everyone works 9+ hrs a day because theres "so much work" - then pay everyone more, BEAT the industry standard - Promotions are an act of favoritism and/or doing extra work - which again leans on being underpaid, especially the junior to mid levels (AAE-VP) who do ALL the grunt work - PR still reigns the agency, no other division gets even remotely the same recognition - Speaking out against public injustices, managerial issues, ANYTHING REALLY that doesnt align with senior leads? You have blacklisted yourself 🤗

Pros

- Handful of super talented people and a select few superstars who will really go above and beyond for people (to make up for lack of teams doing that for employees). - They win awards. It's very apparent that winning awards is the agency's #1 priority (office manager will send office-wide emails a few times a year asking us to submit Zeno as a "Best Place to Work" -- kinda awkward). - Flexible with WFH. - Amazing maternity leave benefits. At any given moment we had about 2-4 members on leave, which usually spans around 4 months (if I recall)

Cons

- Stop placing the burden of high turnover on junior staff. 90% of my last year there was just me being staffed on a new account every few weeks because someone had quit. This is not an "exciting opportunity" to someone who has a full workload. This is a making junior staff your permanent stop-gap solution a lack of company resources, and directly impacts and inhibits their growth at the expense of hitting revenue goals. - PTO not competitive. Depending on your team, you may be expected to work during PTO or Holiday times when everyone else is enjoying time off. - The agency sells-in being closed the last 2 weeks of the year as a huge benefit; the reality is most junior staff will be expected to work to "keep things moving" during this time. - Awful work/life balance, despite the fact that they have "resources" available for employees (free Headspace membership, and I think there's like a few free therapy sessions?), Zeno uses this to exploit junior staff - If you're close to the EVP on the digital team, congratulations! You'll have a leg up on company exposure opportunities, premium accounts, and promotions/raises/spot bonuses. You'll forget spot bonuses even exist if you aren't in her circle. - Signing on at 8:30 is considered late, signing off at 5:30 is considered leaving early. Yes, you will get nasty looks and passive aggressive comments for setting personal boundaries (unless you have children; the digital team is only lax on boundaries in this regard) - No clear path for growth/development. Promotions doled out based on favoritism.
