Pros

You can make $5 per membership sold with no cap.

Cons

All they care about are memberships. My site when I took it over had half of the equipment broken, rusted and falling apart when I got there. They knew about it and never fixed it, they just kept saying to sell more memberships. So instead of fixing it and cleaning care properly they just kept taking money from customers with false promises on cleaning their cars. By far the worse company I’ve worked for. I couldn’t get out quick enough.

Pros

Honestly not many-flexible schedule, good job for high school students

Cons

Terrible management, corporate has no clue what they are doing, policy changes every week, massive mechanical issues due to poor management, no raises/only way to make more than starting pay is commissions yet they can't tell you how someone is supposed to sell memberships while washing cars, leaves managers who already make more the opportunity to make even more with commission. corporate makes bad policy decisions which make customers mad/ and proceeds to leave the little underpaid workers to fend for themselves when customers come yelling. overall just run. terrible place for anyone lower tan management position. known for promoting someone to assistant manager then never paying them assistant manager money.

Seemingly Illegal terminations and brutal cronyism under 'new' leadership

Pros

The pay feels in line with the industry

Cons

This toxic culture is rampant with dishonesty. Integrity is a foreign element here. When middle Management members are in the way (blocking a position they want to use for a friend) they may manufacture a cause to terminate. I have lost several colleagues to this dubious behavior. The new leadership rambles on about how great people will be treated but the ones in their path that need to go are summarily tossed out to make room for his friends from other places. The HR department is the biggest demonstrator of the zero-integrity business practices that thrive here. Destroying lives of hard working mid level managers is just a consequence of business at Zips. The actual car wash? tragic. they bind the equipment together with spit and chewing gum and lots of prayer. Meanwhile cars go through the wash and get whacked and scratched by lose equipment flailing around the tunnel. They do a great job painting the outside of the house, but inside is a mish-mash of old parts and equipment with all kinds of different operations interfaces, so employees from one location cant even operate the systems at a nearby location, making it hard to go cover a shift at a neighboring location without having to start all over again, learning a completely different system. Communication is terrible. When they plan to close a location they do not tell ANYONE until doomsday then they do not give the existing employees options to relocate to a different location - they unceremoniously dismiss them.
