Pros

well known and respected company in the cyber security space, good tech, engineering teams are fun to partner with. was once a company I felt proud to work for.

Cons

Google culture has taken over the People team. People leadership has laid off/forced out many fantastic team members to make room for Google cronies, mostly in the TA team. Many Googlers were hired into VP/Director level roles with ZERO VP/Director level experience. This leads to heavy micro-management. The vibe from the Google people is, they have a big secret they will not share with anyone outside of the Google circle. This along with the "gotcha" micro management style makes for a demoralizing and miserable culture within the People team. The new leadership will smile in your face while they stab you in the back, it's the Google way! Many of my team members were laid off/forced out only to be secretly replaced with Google people, all you have to do is pay attention the the LinkedIn welcome posts. Once the market picks up (and it will), expect a mass exodus of non-Google employees.

Pros

Great Commission Structure Product is solid but starting to lag due to internal politics preventing feature development

Cons

Arrogant leadership with an ever changing strategy and direction. "John McMahon" force management approach to people management MEDDPIC is used as a hammer, not a helpful framework to evaluate and identify risk and discussion on how to mitigate risk. If you aren't AppD, you aren't getting promoted anytime soon Managers, not leaders, run the company. Managers ask plenty of questions but provide zero help in finding answers or providing useful examples on how to get the answers. Constant demands without support is the norm. Zero creative liberty... strict sales process by the numbers.

Pros

In the hot sase and ztna market with a good brand recognition. Also entering new frontiers with zcp (though playing catchup with palo alto networks with me too tech)

Cons

Exactly same problem as others have called out. Good product team until recently when wrong leaders from legacy companies were hired who brought their own army of sub par people. PM managers are busy labeling their subordinates work as their own to get more credit (writing email to ceo without acknowledging those who are doing work) but same people lack depth when technical questions are asked. There are 2 layers of management and then a functional PM and those are now leaving one by one. Expect more yes men and few doers in future, feel bad for engineering though. It's toxic and stay away, unless you have godfather who are joining from certain companies (even then introspect and ask yourself if it's worth it)
