Pros

Work with many talented people who care and want to do great work in service of a mission that inspired them when joining the company. Mostly remote workplace.

Cons

This company is a development sweatshop. If you are an engineer do not work here unless you have no other options. It is a never ending stream of emergency code changes and hours of meetings for the portfolio leads to try to one-up each other in front of the CEO. It is not uncommon for priorities to change multiple times in the same day. Many are working long hours, on weekends, and even on vacation to try to keep up. Leadership says they are working to set priorities for each planning period, but they are unable to adhere to their own priorities for more than an hour. Our turnover is so high that departures are not even announced anymore, people just disappear. Interactions with the CTO are almost all negative due to a his large ego and his even larger misunderstanding of most topics. Many try to stay under the radar and avoid interacting with him all together as any interaction is generally toxic and frustrating. Raises are poor and there is no opportunity for advancement within engineering.

Pros

b.well might be a much better place to work if they admitted that they prefer to be a custom dev shop for clients?

Cons

This place can't prioritize and finish. They just don't (seem to) understand that building a product includes saying no to a lot of ideas (even good ones) which keeps you busy jumping from project to project and accomplishing a whole lot of nothing. Culture is defined by what your actions prove you value, not by what you say you value. The culture here is one of burnout, favoritism, and disputing the honest feedback that seeks to improve things.

Pros

Paycheck cleared twice a month.

Cons

Dysfunction is everywhere with high expectations and low employee well being. I advise against considering this company as a potential workplace. The frequent job postings are a result of the high turnover due to dissatisfaction with the company culture.
