Pros
This is an exciting company with a huge heart. Like any start-up - changes are made constantly, but always in the right direction. Compensation of course is not great - this is a start-up - and this is what I refer to as "sweat equity". You have to be a believer - or you should not be here!! One of the most exciting experiences in my career - and I have worked for start-ups for the past 20 years. Excited to be part of a company that I believe will change the way not only the real estate industry does business, but the way all businesses may be run in the future. If you can handle the ride - and love a fast pace and great people - you need to be here. Some comments have been made referring to how they treat employees - my experience has been totally the opposite - they hung in with me during a serious illness, supported me, allowed me to work remotely when necessary. I do not think anyone would find that kind of support at many other companies, small or large. The culture here is awesome and is truly something that seems important to Leadership. For a young person - this is a company that you can attain a wealth of experience that you will never get in a large corporate environment. I would recommend any young adult that wants to be part of something awesome - this is your chance. Imagine if you were on the ground floor of a Facebook, Linked In, Drop-box, or any of those other companies - this is your chance, right here in Cincinnati, Ohio!!
Cons
Like any start-up - mistakes are made - and sometimes it can appear punitive and insensitive - however - what I have seen is that they continue to make things better. They recognize mistakes and try to fix them asap. It can be brutal to someone who has not experienced working for a start-up like this...and most people in Cincinnati have not. Compensation is getting better. If you do not have a vision for the possibilities here - do not apply.
