It’s a trap

Pros

The only pros here is you will be pampered in your first couple of months before they change it up on you fast

Cons

The comp plan is designed for the employees to fail and I’m not sure how much longer I can take they feed you horrible leads after your first few months and expect you to sell them! Not to mention your checks are never correct! Money is getting stolen from checks as the numbers never add up and you aren’t paid for what you sell instead they crunch up numbers to reduce your metrics and steal from your check and if you complain, they steal more from your checks

Thank you for sharing your opinions, we are sorry for your negative experience and always strive to put our people first. We are fully transparent with our performance measurements. We never ‘steal’ a penny from anyone’s paycheck; in the rare instances that a calculation error occurs (e.g. typo on customer name/policy number) it is always corrected ASAP. We are strengthening our technology to help prevent these errors in the future. There are no discrepancies in the leads provided, everyone is provided the same opportunity to have a prosperous income at eFinancial. Our technology distributes leads on a random basis which ensures no favoritism. We have a long history of ensuring our employees are treated and compensated fairly. Should you have any future concerns, our open-door policy encourages you to talk to management.

Pros

$50K Base Salary after 6 months of ground work.

Cons

They promise you a $50K Base if you hit numbers, attend, and obtain your license in a month. Yet- if you achieve these goals they won’t promote you based on “current available positions.” I’ve seen individuals with degrees take more than 10 months to become a BDR2 which is only one step closer (out of four) to the Account Exec position. They need to pay penny’s for individuals to call their leads and keep their business afloat. Their way of business is buying leads promising a chance to win prizes. It’s interesting.

We provide an opportunity to advance and have a lucrative career helping protect American families with life insurance. Those criteria have many dimensions: someone could be ‘hitting their numbers’ but struggle with their state licensing requirements, perhaps they are not conducting themselves with the professionalism we require of our agents. We have had people with a master’s degree struggle and people with a GED have tremendous success. We are confident that our training program will bring out the best in the individuals who complete it and go on to have a long lasting, rewarding career.

Pros

Nice office, good location, we get free bagels on Friday morning , ping pong table, some of the co workers are great.

Cons

If you're okay with making $14 per hour then this is the job for you, otherwise stay away because they will make sure that the commission you earned vanishes through 5 different levels that you are supposed to hit, which is usually impossible. Commission structure was changed ,for worse , twice this year. Negative commissions are a monthly recurrence to where you end up owing money to them.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Because our environment is goal driven and fast paced, we feel it’s equally important to cultivate a fun and relaxed atmosphere. While there are occasional changes to commission structures, this year, there was only one change. With advancements to our tools and solutions we can offer, we are in a great position to help our Account Executives drive and cultivate more business. From these updates, a large percentage of our Account Executives continue to earn more money than the prior years. As for negative commissions, they do occur on rare occasions (less than 1% of the time). Account Executives are paid a percentage of the premiums they generate for the company plus a base and variable incentives. If a customer cancels the policy right away, there are instances where we deduct any commissions that were paid in advance. This is common industry practice when advanced commissions are paid. In the big picture, our goal is for every one of our employees to succeed because we all win when that occurs. We appreciate any feedback because it helps us find areas for improvement which will ultimately result in an even stronger company.
