Pros

Have been working in the technical support department for many years and the experience with the company is great, I would say one of the best company to work with.

Cons

during the busy season call volume goes high and requires 100% of each employee, but overall after the hardship good work pay off.

Hello, thanks for the positive feedback! Time moves quickly when were having fun. We certainly can be busy but this is a result of many years of hard work from the entire team to get us where we are today. Thank you for your contribution. Andrew, Director of Support at ecobee

Pros

- Central downtown Toronto location with transit access - Free snacks/drinks - Occasional company update meetings (pizza and beers?!) - Stock options that *may* become useful - 3 weeks vacay to start - Very good benefits package - Subsidized Goodlife membership

Cons

- Has some disgusting pig who likes using the walls of the men's room for a tissue. Probably the same individual that likes to 'spray and pray' in the general direction of the toilet. - Extremely reactive environment. Makes for rash decisions and lots of time (money) wasting. - Focused on putting out new models of the Same. Damn. Device. every few years instead of improving on the features and benefits of the current suite. - Zero compensation for overtime - Constant need for overtime in most departments - Customer facing information is often out of date or partially incorrect - Training is extremely ad hoc - Zero cross-training opportunities - Company keeps changing office location due to lack of forethought to future growth requirements. - No RRSP/RESP or pension contributions - Stock options that *may* become useful... - No EAP (Employee Assistance Program)

Hello, thanks for sharing your feedback. Employee turn-over can be misconstrued as an always negative thing. The talented people we employ at ecobee naturally develops an environment of ambitious people that want to progress faster than unfortunately what the company may be able offer at the time. We endeavor to provide a place where people can grow professionally, learn or develop new transferrable skills that they can take forward with them. We never like to lose great people but it is also rewarding that ecobee could be part of their professional development to achieve future success. Andrew, Director of Support at ecobee
