Pros

- Nice and fun colleagues to work with - All the material needed to do your job - If you need help you can always reach out to your colleagues or management as long as your willing to ask for help they always help. - Good salary based on the tasks assigned - There's nice snacks , board games, other time pass during work hours and off work hours. - Plenty of options to overtime if you need it, if not peace of mind that you would have a job tomorrow. - Company is growing at a very fast pace which adds to the peace of mind but also gives you opportunities for growth. - Get good benefits plan - cheap gym membership for goodlife - 3 week vacation during the year - It has a lot more to offer then most of the other jobs I've worked in the similar field. -CEO is just phenomenal and always a pleasure to speak with.

Cons

- Could be con to some and could be a pro to some. Rotational shifts and later shift runs till late night. (guess depends on what kind of person you are) - I know it's the nature of the job but you don't always get weekends off again this could be a pro to others.

Supervisors hate weak agents...why?

Business Outlook

Pros

Everything Is Great! It is the best company so far except the cons i have listed.

Cons

Supervisors are not friendly, they just act to be even when agents are not really at fault. The supervisors in this organization really have to take it easy on the agents, knowing the fact that there is so much a human being can take or tolerate. New or Old, agents are agents and most are doing equal amount of work. There should be not favoritism withing agents and supervisors. Also, when an agents feels sick or has some problems and does not show up that day, its not the end of the world! We as agents show up everyday and with such bad weather, its very normal a person would fall sick once a month or so. Regardless, I understand how much one absence can affect a volume of calls and all. But a human is a human, not a robot, a 2 minute breather is NOTHING vs. Taking calls with emails 5 days a week. Some supervisors tend to act really harshly on weak agents. And some that cannot meet the deadline of closing their reports or so on time are faced with such bad treatment. It hurts to see that. And this is what i feel EVERYDAY. Thank you for reading if it is not ignored. Hope some action or some change is implemented or else, this company is great and has so much potential to succeed more and more!

ecobee Response

Hello, thank you for taking the time expressing your thoughts and concerns. I’m glad to hear that you’re feeling great about your employment experience at ecobee. I want to ensure we foster an environment where employees can excel and feel valued. On the flip side I’m also not thrilled to hear you feel the Supervisory team is not maintaining a positive and supportive environment. We maintain an open-door policy for people to express their feelings/concerns to next level management or HR. If you feel you are being treated unfairly I would encourage you to speak with your Supervisors or Manager to start. As our team continues to grow, Supervisors who are new to managing people are continually supported to help them develop their people management skills to better handle situations. As any progressive business organization, ecobee has established guidelines around unplanned absenteeism. The company provides generous time-off allowances that permits employees to apply for days off when needed. Not unlike any other customer service department, we define metrics that will allow us to meet/exceed customer expectations. If we’re are not taking care of our customers, our competitors will. Hiring great people that will live our company values and take pride in what they contribute will ensure we continue to provide top tier customer service. The Leadership team is responsible for developing their team members through coaching/mentoring /training and invest considerable time through this process. If you feel you have not been fully supported, then improvements are needed. I would be more than happy to meet with you in confidence and assure you that your concerns will be addressed. Thank you, Andrew G (Director, Customer Service)
