Pros

I am still learning to love my position. It is tough, but there are fair parts that make this a good choice for some. It just isn’t for me, however I am putting my best foot forward to learn to do something hard and for a medium amount of time. - Fast track to licensure - CEU easily accessible - Free Supervision (Lunch Included) - Bonuses and metrics to see how you are doing - Working in fast paced environment - Fast track Patients to social services and medication - Patients that would have never attended therapy before have easy access - Independent work - Week off in December (But you don't get to take federal holidays) - PTO (80 hours Vacation, 40 hours Sick, 80 Unpaid, Maternal and Bereavement) - Health care packages and insurance policies

Cons

To be honest, I wanted to quit within the first 6 weeks my health was so bad and previous supervisors told me to run. There were many areas where I fell through the cracks with support. You can feel isolated and unsure of your expectations at times. I also spent a few months falling apart mentally/ emotionally (eg, Crying frequently, low energy, decreased stress tolerance, etc). *** The people that do well in this position have a few common factors:*** pre burnt out, worked in the feild for at least a year prior, almost completed with Associates Licenses, and looking to work their way up and no longer practice. - See a minimum of 5 Patients per day (Always scheduled for 8 per day) - 10-15 minutes to document and prepare between sessions (Keep in mind you document on two platforms and its more than just a soap/dap note) - Often feel isolated from others (Please attend the group events if you are struggling) - Working through lunch frequently - You got to work early, leave late: 8 am - 5 pm but you are working about 9-10 hours per day. - Don’t feel like you are doing real therapy till about 7 months (Ramp up is the worst period— you can get through it)! - Only see Patient’s once a month (Even for high risk, which is morally and ethically difficult for me and why my health declined) The truth is, this is good if you need to get in and get out. Most full time people burn out in this position and they go part time or I have found people leave after a year. That is not to say this isn’t a good opportunity for some, it isn’t for me and I wanted to be honest with my experiences because I feel you find out a little too late what it is actually like and that makes it hard to make a decision if evolvedMD is for you.

Pros

Paid lunch 3 weeks PTO Pay is okay

Cons

No real transparency from clinical leadership to BHMs. Clinical expectations versus reality is not aligned. 8 + clients per day to meet a specific “productivity” number every single week to month is unrealistic. Leadership seems to not listen or care to concerns or issues brought by BHMs, those who are in the field and doing the work. Specifically UT clinical team is toxic and will blame the BHM for issues. This job will lead to burnout. Expectation of working from 7:30-5 or later to complete notes within two different systems in 48 hours when PCPs get 5 days or so.

Erik, CEO here. As you might imagine, hearing “beware” as the founder of the company is hard and it's just as hard to respond thoughtfully in this online format. With that, I’d love the opportunity to have a 1:1 dialogue with you about your experience in a psychologically safe, judgement-free environment. If you’re interested, please email me at erik.osland@evolvedmd.com and I’ll be happy to set time for us. The leadership team spends a significant amount of time on employee sentiment, and I would appreciate the opportunity to let you know more about how we take feedback like this. If not, wishing you the best and hope you find a better fit elsewhere.

Pros

Lovely company, express compassion and inclusion, involved CEO.

Cons

When it comes down to it this company will choose the medical clinic over the person. Money over person despite what their expressed goals are. From the onset I was told that my tattoos and painted nails were a problem. They clearly value traditional values over competence in the metal health field. Avoid! The is no room for you in Utah unless you are a cis straight confirming Mormon therapist.
