Pros

Clinic placement. Worked with some amazing Dr’s and Nurses collaboratively in support of patient wellbeing.

Cons

Tangible Division between corporate and clinicians in the field. False, “drink the kool-aid” messages of self-care- however unrealistic expectation of productivity.

Hello from Sarah Hanchett, Vice President of Clinical Operations. Thank you for the feedback and for sharing your unique experience with evolvedMD. Above all, we want to ensure that we seriously consider any and all data points to make our renowned culture even better. I'm sorry to hear that your experience didn’t reflect that of others (many who shared their wonderful time with evolvedMD on this very platform). While we fully acknowledge your lived experience, we will remain unapologetic for our people-first approach to behavioral health and our focus on self-care. As a clinician with over 20+ years in the field, I know the importance and power of taking care of yourself and at evolvedMD, we take self-care seriously. It’s not just the “kool aid”, its who we are. From the executive team to frontline employees, everyone lives our values. In fact, to support better clinician balance and wellness, we listened to our therapists and completely overhauled our clinical model to strive for a workday with: • Five (5) patient hours daily. • Three (3) hours for administrative tasks (notes, emails, all the things therapists complain about doing after hours) along with time for collaboration and, yes, self-care. • Ongoing supervision and support We aren’t perfect but we feel we have the best culture, environment, and approach for the modern clinician. We aren’t the only option out there, but we feel we are the best option for clinicians who truly want to better themselves and take care of themselves. We aren’t traditional mental health, but that’s why we exist in the first place. I would welcome a conversation to better understand your experience and where you think we missed the mark so please reach out to me directly. Be well and be kind to yourself. Sarah

Pros

Fair pay Lots of training opportunities Supervision/get your hours quickly

Cons

They talk a huge game about being “provider first” but they have a serious culture problem. It’s great if you work at corporate, but providers are overworked and isolated. Your job is to meet any needs the patients, doctors, or anyone else has, so you have very little agency in what you do, and there is a big push to meet your numbers. They also profess a lot of opportunities for advancement but in reality they try to suppress advancement because they don’t want to lose BHMs. Also, no virtual opportunities

Hello from Sarah Hanchett, Vice President of Clinical Operations. As a passionate therapist myself, I was concerned reading your feedback and would be happy to connect directly to discuss more. We believe that our Behavioral Health Managers are the most important part of our model and want to ensure an excellent experience for each and every one of you. While we certainly appreciate your commentary and will continue to try to improve the day in the life of our clinicians, from recent feedback, we know that most of our BHM’s love what they do and are comfortable with our delivery model. Above all, we think what makes this work truly unique is supporting our BHMs and their ability to partner with primary care providers, clinics, and patients to collaboratively take care of patient’s behavioral health needs. However, it sounds like that has not been your experience, which I’m sorry to hear. I was surprised by your comment regarding promotional opportunities, as we regularly promote from within, both into roles in Clinical Leadership and other areas of the company. I would be happy to speak with you directly to learn more about your experience. Please feel free to reach out to me via email so we can speak further.
