Cons
I find it difficult to come up with "cons" but can offer these thoughts. Working from home is not for everyone. It requires self-discipline, a healthy commitment to making deadlines and a dedicated office space that never compromises professional appearances (clear phone reception, reliable high-speed internet, free of background noises--doorbells, kids, pets, etc.). Your day will not necessarily be shorter because you work from home. Self-discipline works both ways: you may have to force yourself to step away, take breaks and define boundaries. The time I once spent commuting is now used to get an earlier jump on the day, but it also affords me other types of flexibility with regard to when, how and where I work (which is actually a pro).
