Pros

Good Benefits. For those new to the industry there is a lot of room for growth as many senior sales employees are leaving.

Cons

EFS (CADDY, ERICO, ECM) is run from abroad from those who do not understand or appreciate the employees, agents or customers. While this has been the case since nVent started in 2018 there was a group of RSM's who were able to help customers and agents navigate the internal red tape and keep revenue flowing. In 2023 nVent purchased ECM. Prior to the plan of the sales teams integrating on 1/1/24 many of the ECM sales employees left. In addition the ERICO RSM's were aware of an organization change coming and continued to be worried and wanted to understand if their roles would be changed. Of the 8 legacy RSM's - 6 (who just happened to be the most senior and older ones) were contacted over the Holidays to be told their jobs were changing. There new roles would have the agent and distributor management taken away from them and their territories would be significantly larger with no pay increase. They were not allowed to interview for the newer distributor and agent roles - these would be filled externally. At the same time this was occurring many of the younger and less experienced employees were promoted - with none of those roles being posted internally which added insult to injury. Of the 6 legacy ERICO RSM's - 4 have left since the beginning of 2024 (one without even having another job). One more has announced his retirement. Of course sales have gone down and there is a hiring "pause" until business picks up. There is mass confusion as to who is responsible for basic customer and agent needs and confusion abounds, For anyone with industry experience there are so many better options out there for employment.

Although this is extremely disappointing to read, I appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns after working at nVent. I am sorry that things did not go well in your segment and function after 6+ years with us. It sounds like the conditions were quite challenging before/after the acquisition. This was very detailed and is helpful. If you have anything else to add and are comfortable reaching out, you can send additional information to Feedback@nVent.com. Again, terribly sorry that things ended on such a negative note. Best of luck to you!

Pros

The office space was pretty nice, though there were often problems with the heating/cooling and the white noise they pumped in was sometimes bothersome.

Cons

Slow to move everyone to work from home when the pandemic hit in 2020. Manager didn't listen to feedback even when they asked what they could do differently. Part of mid-year and annual reviews did not include opportunity for direct reports to review who they reported to. Say they have flexible work/life hours/balance but you could tell that management wasn't happy if you weren't in the office for 10+ hrs. Manager would often look over the shoulders of employees while they were working to see what they were working on etc. without asking first, and if they saw you reading an article or something that wasn't 100% work related it was noted in your review and you were looked down upon.

We value any opportunity to hear from our employees about their experiences and take the information received very seriously as we continue to grow and mature as an organization. As we continue to explore what the future state will look like post pandemic, we are evaluating how we can incorporate more flexibility into our culture for employees.
