Pros

TalentReef is a good company for those looking to start in the SaaS industry but definitely not a place I recommend long-term. If you are looking to get your foot in the door for the industry, this is the place. But as soon as you gather enough skills, run.

Cons

During my time at TalentReef, I saw a lot of toxicity as well as mismanagement. There is a very strong “clique-culture” in management. A lot of people get away with things they wouldn’t get away with in other workplaces. There’s also a level of “nepotism” in the company. Where if you know the right person or are related to someone important in the company, you can move through roles at an accelerated pace. Don’t expect your manager to actually manage you, because they’re also overworked. Around 7 people left a single department in a matter of 3-4 months and management acts as though they had no idea why that happened. A good manager should know when their team isn’t happy or when morale is low and take appropriate action to address. It doesn’t matter how many times you ask your leadership to hire more people, they won’t listen until it’s far too late and you are moving on to another company. It’s a vicious cycle of hiring new talent to compensate for those leaving. TalentReef pretends they don’t overwork and underpay 80% of their employees. The audacity of the responses on some of these reviews - to blatantly lie and say TalentReef pays “above market salary” or “competitive pay” is upsetting. TalentReef for a fact will underpay about $20,000 for most roles. You’ll get an initial pay bump and then perhaps get a 1% annual increase if you’re lucky and they like you. I can already imagine the same organic response from the CEO’s assistant saying: “TalentReef has a fast-paced environment, and we recognize that not everyone thrives in that situation.” as if it would excuse overworking anyone at mediocre pay. I completely lost faith in this company when they told employees no one would be laid off at the start of COVID-19 and then lay off & furlough a large number of its employees the following week. Hard to trust a company that does that. They actually had another round of layoffs as well, but it seems it just comes down to “priorities” since they can afford to send their sales reps to trade shows in Vegas & Hawaii.

TalentReef offers many opportunities to learn and grow on your career journey. The team offers great growth opportunities and support with training and resources, software support, lead generation, and mentorship from experienced managers and colleagues. Salary is in line with market average and an annual compensation review process is in place to ensure pay is competitive. Our team is what makes TalentReef great, and we take care of our team and offer fantastic, comprehensive benefits which includes options that are 100% paid by the company. Plus, we offer hybrid scheduling allowing teams the flexibility to work in the office and remotely. We also offer flexible time off that allows employees to take the time they need to rest and recharge. The management team attends regular training to develop their skills and become even better leaders. We regret you didn’t enjoy your time here and wish you luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

Easy and fast process of recruitment.

Cons

With the toxic job and environment we have and pay that is super low, I don't know how can people stay in this job for so long. No one can endure this job and being here. People come and go all the time so there's no need to get to know anyone.

TalentReef offers opportunities for professionals getting started in their careers. We have a successful track record of developing many team members from Customer Service into roles of increasing responsibility, promoting from within, giving our team opportunities to discover their strengths and create a successful career path. Many of our team members have been with the company for several years. It’s a fast-paced environment and we recognize it’s not for everyone. We’re sorry you didn’t enjoy your time on the team. We encourage you to reach out to Human Resources if you have further feedback. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.

Pros

Good to start with right out of college, learn full sales cycle. Not a complex or technical sale, which makes it easy to get going right out of the gates

Cons

No training, no career training. There are opportunities to be promoted, but does not offer career growth and learning skills. Management doesn't take your opinions in to consideration. Lots of back stabbing, saw a few higher up and really good employees thrown under the bus. Culture is lacking. Struggling product for years and years with constant churn in Product/Technology team. Always a roadmap with no solutions

Offering opportunities for young professionals getting started in their careers is a great part of talentReef’s culture. We invest in our greatest assets – our people. Training and development opportunities are abundant, and this is a great environment for a motivated, self-starter. A sales role is challenging and can be rewarding for the right person, and we realize it’s not the right fit for everyone. Our company is consistently evolving and growing and there have been a lot of changes in the past few months that have created an even better culture and working environment. A Career Journey program was implemented for employees to design and grow their career path through career and development goals that are reviewed quarterly with their manager. These dialogues are also a great way to listen to employees and solicit new ideas and opinions. Our technology and product teams have a new leadership team and a strategy and roadmap to move forward for success and providing the best product possible for our customers. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your time at talentReef. We are sorry you didn’t have a great experience during your time here.
