The people. They're choosy about who they hire, because they're not just filling seats to make things happen in the short term. Everyone is committed to not only their projects, but to each other and to the company. It's a family, and everyone works hard to maintain that culture. It's hands down the best environment I've ever worked in. The R&D office in Austin is amazing. I've worked at companies that named their conference rooms after nerdy stuff, but vAuto took it to the next level and designed the entire office around video games. Sit/Stand desks. Top notch hardware. Actual team rooms instead of cubes. A Kuerig, four refrigerators and free juice, soda and la croix in the break room. Snacks. More swag than you'll know what to do with. Food trucks almost every day of the week. Just about every wall in the building is a white board. The tables are either dry erase friendly, or giant post-its. It's a productivity and happiness mecca. They'll invest in YOU. Everyone has room to grow and they are constantly looking and pushing each other to do so. As engineers. As teams. As leaders. As people. In agile. In communication. In collaboration. In technology.

I have worked for 20 years in the Automotive industry, most of which has been in selling Software as a service to car dealers. I love this industry, and have been associated with some fantastic companies over the years. For the first time in my career, I can honestly say that I am home. I look forward to spending the last 15-20 years of my career with Cox Automotive and vAuto. The opportunities are truly endless, and the forward thinking culture paints a very exciting and bright future for us all.
