Increased technology use and business growth across the communities we serve means increased energy demand. Our responsibility is to ensure demand is met for customers and communities while ensuring long-term reliability. Alliant Energy is planning now, so your energy service stays safe, reliable and cost-effective. When growth is planned carefully, it strengthens the energy system and the communities that depend on it and keeps rates affordable.
Alliant Energy president and CEO Lisa Barton took part in a tour of the QTS Data Centers Cedar Rapids campus with QTS co-CEOs Tag Greason and David Robey and U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright. "When growth is managed the right way, everyone benefits, and it accelerates the opportunities for growth," Lisa said.
Great organizations deserve time to think strategically. Alliant Energy Foundation Catalyst Grants provide just that. We partner with the Innovation Lab HQ to offer nonprofits guidance and mentorship focused on big-picture planning. Through group facilitation, grant recipients receive structured innovation tools and customized strategy support to help navigate growth, change, funding uncertainty and new opportunities. This program can help teams find clarity, alignment and an actionable plan. If you’re part of a nonprofit organization that could benefit from this kind of strategic partnership, we encourage you to apply today.

Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is full of art, in part thanks to Customer Solutions Specialist Nick Ludwig. From Murals & More to the United Way and Coe College, Nick has helped secure art pieces for use around the city, helping beautify public and private buildings. He is one of our 2024 Values in Practice Award winners. Each year, we recognize employees for their volunteer work around the community with a $500 donation to the nonprofit of their choice.
