WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH CELEBRATION CONTINUES AT BEHR This week, we’re spotlighting inspirational women who’ve made an impact in our society, whether it’s through science, politics, culture, or social activism. Women such as Patsy Takemoto Mink, Ozlem Tureci, and Billie Jean King. Next week, we’ve invited Robyn Tingley, Founder and CEO of GlassSKY, to speak with our team members. In a conversation facilitated by Evanghela Hidalgo, General Manager of International and Global Business Development, Robyn will share her personal journey and words of leadership wisdom for empowering women in the workplace. She’ll help us understand the unique challenges that women face, and answer our team members’ questions.
HELPING TEAM MEMBERS BUILD CONNECTIONS WITH LEADERS & PEERS While having the right mentoring relationship can be a powerful tool for professional growth, team members are often challenged with how to get started. That’s why Behr created Mentoring Circles, one of Behr’s DEI initiatives, which provide opportunities to make connections with leaders and peers across the organization. In these online sessions, team members meet with leaders and peers in small breakout sessions. Leaders share their stories, insights and challenges on a specific theme, and team members ask questions and share their thoughts. Post session, participants follow up with any of the participating leaders for continued connections and informal mentoring. They’re also encouraged to make cross-functional connections with their peers.
CELEBRATING WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH AT BEHR This week, our Behr Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council launched Women’s History Month, a month-long celebration of the accomplishments of women, past and present, and their impacts on our society. We value and honor the remarkable women who have paved the way for future generations, and are committed to advancing women, both within our company and in our communities. During the first week, we’ve asked team members to share their “Personal Hero” stories on our Yammer page so we can honor the women who have played an important role in our team members’ lives.
BLACK HISTORY MONTH CONCLUDES WITH A SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER Our monthlong Black History Month celebration at Behr culminated in a talk by Pastor Ivan Pitts, educator, senior pastor, community and civic leader. He inspired us with stories, answered our burning questions, and recommended constructive approaches to combatting systemic racism as well as personal actions to foster more inclusivity in our workplace and communities.

With a targeted theme each week, we are celebrating African American creatives, trailblazers, and unsung heroes; amplifying voices of our African American colleagues through spotlight interviews; highlighting African American cuisine through a cooking demonstration by an African American chef; and having a conversation with an African American leader in the social and civic arena about building bridges to racial equality.
