CONGRATULATIONS TO JANICE SPENCER, Winner of the Masco Cares Volunteer Award! Janice Spencer, Supply Chain Supervisor at our Allentown, PA facility, received $5,000 for Allentown Rescue Mission. This award is given quarterly to an outstanding volunteer by our parent company, Masco Corporation. Janice sold her vacation hours to raise funds for a meal for 70 people at the Mission, and recruited fellow team members from our Allentown and Kutztown facilities to help purchase, cook, and serve the meal. Now she’s organizing a food drive to help the Mission during COVID-19. Thank you, Janice, for your inspiring leadership in the workplace and in the community!

With our company roots planted in Orange County, California, we are proud to pledge $10,000 to Orange County Human Relations to support the work they do to foster mutual understanding and eliminate prejudice, intolerance, and discrimination in our local communities and schools. Behr also hosted several virtual sessions that were facilitated by OC Human Relations experts. Team members throughout the US learned about different forms of racism, ideas on bridging differences, as well as Orange County's civil rights history. Recently, around 200 team members participated in virtual sessions led by the Human Library Organization. During these sessions, a variety of volunteers or "human books" shared their stories of identity-based prejudice, social exclusion and/or discrimination. Our team members were then given the opportunity to ask questions, have a dialogue, challenge preconceived notions, and find commonalities with those who are different from them. Here's what our team members had to say: "We all have our stereotypes and they were shattered today!" "Everyone needs an opportunity like this to open their perceptions and perspectives.
