BEHR OFFERS EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE Full-time team members who have an interest in obtaining further education related to their job duties can be reimbursed for tuition, books and lab fees, up to $7500 per year. BEHR TEAM MEMBERS DONATE TO SPARK OF LOVE: Over the holidays, Behr team members at our Orange County locations donated more than $6000 to the “virtual” Spark of Love toy drive, marking Behr’s sixth year of participation. The toys were distributed to underserved children and teens in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, Ventura and Riverside counties. Behr also supports individual giving through its matching program, where each team member can double their personal giving to their preferred charities with a company match of up to $5,000 per year.
DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION (DEI) HAPPENINGS: On December 9, Behr held its Q4 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Forum to an audience of over 1000 team members. We shared our commitment to DEI and our why: We believe a workplace that encourages different voices, perspectives and backgrounds creates better teams, better solutions and more innovation. Additionally, we introduced our newly formed DEI Council Board, consisting of 15 diverse team members from across the organization. These passionate individuals will launch advocacy groups and serve in an advisory role to support our efforts toward a more inclusive culture, where everyone has a real sense of belonging.

Behr Paint Company is thrilled to be a participating sponsor of United Way of Greater Chicago’s UNITING FOR THE HOLIDAYS event, a festive, drive-through event taking place in six suburban locations in the Chicago metro area, from mid-November to mid-December. This event supports struggling families by providing them a holiday meal and gifts to brighten their holiday. Behr provides philanthropy funds in the communities where our team members work and live. Our local operational team members work at our Chicago Heights manufacturing plant and Sauk Village distribution center in Illinois.

Today, on GivingTuesday, a global generosity movement that encourages people to do good and celebrate generosity, we've asked our team members to focus on gratitude and then turn it into action by giving...in the form of a kind word, a thank you to a colleague or loved one, a helping hand a neighbor or friend, or time volunteering or supporting a favorite cause. In honor of this day, Behr donated to 3 nonprofits that support Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in our team members' communities: - United Way of Metro Chicago: supports Uniting for the Holidays event, providing holiday meals to families in need during the holiday season. - Fresh Artists, Philadelphia, PA: supports providing free, quality art supplies to art teachers in public schools that serve primarily non-white children living in deep poverty. - United Way of Greater Lehigh Valley, Allentown, PA: supports the Racial Justice and Equity Fund which aims to rapidly invest in community-led solutions that generate reconciliation, cultural competence, humility, and courageous conversations.

A VETERANS DAY SALUTE to Behrs Military Service Members Yesterday, Behr held a private reception to honor team members who served in a military branch in the US or another country. Jeff Filley and Jon Sullivan (our President and CFO, respectively) hosted the event and thanked them for their sacrifices and contributions. Each service member received a custom Behr Veterans Day face mask and notes of appreciation from fellow team members. As a further commitment to veterans, Behr made donations totaling $80,000 to 3 nonprofits that provide Veterans housing in the US. Our service members exemplify the qualities that comprise the Behr culture...including integrity, doing the right thing, servant leadership, respect, trust, leading by example, and humility. Helping Our Team Members Take Charge of their Careers! Behr recently offered PERSONAL BRANDING workshops to all interested team members in the US and Canada. These sessions were led by branding expert and author, Sandra Sellani. She shared insights and tips on ways to build and refine a personal brand in an authentic way.
