Celebrating our teammates at HQ week and our summer picnic was so fun! From brainstorming new ideas to sharing laughs, it was a week to remember. It was wonderful to build community across the organization, learn, collaborate and celebrate the progress we’ve made in science, education and in the Bay Area.
Join us in celebrating Disability Pride Month! Our resource group for CZIers with disabilities and their allies chose Everyone, Everywhere as our theme because it reinforces how accessibility is important to everyone, everywhere, including those with visible and invisible disabilities. They are hosting activities in July to celebrate diversity, promote understanding and awareness, recognize achievements, challenge stigma, and work towards a more inclusive and equitable world for all.
Happy Pride! We are proud to stand with and celebrate the diversity and resilience of our LGBTQ+ community. Our employee resource group for LGBTQ+ CZIers chose He/She/They/Us as their Pride theme to celebrate the full spectrum of the LGBTQ+ rainbow and honor and uplift our transgender community. We believe everyone deserves to live authentically and without fear, regardless of who they love or who they are.
🎉 Join us in celebrating the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities at CZI. This month, our AAPI employee resource group is hosting speakers and events that explore the diverse identities within our communities, focusing on both the cultures that are inherited over the generations through family and the ones that are built through personal and collective experiences.
We’re closing out our April celebration of the cultures of the Middle Eastern, North African (MENA), and South West Asian, North African (SWANA) regions with an in-office social hosted by our Saffron employee resource group. The gathering is a chance to learn about all the celebrations that take place this time of year that are significant to the members of Saffron while enjoying a variety of cultural foods and beverages.
