“Chick-fil-A, Inc. always has been a company that wants to demonstrate care to customers, and we know there’s a need within the kids and family entertainment space. This led us to develop the Chick-fil-A Play app, which launched November 18. The key differentiator for this app is that we’re trying to create moments of connection together for families. Whether it's a parent and child playing together, or siblings, or cousins, we want to help people use the device together as a vessel to create connection. Whether they use it to play “Guess and Giggle” or “Conversation Starters,” this app is meant to help support that family connection and care.” - Kelley Hawkins, MBA, CSPO, Technology Program Lead, Chick-fil-A Play App

“I am originally from Clearwater, Florida. I worked at Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout my high school and college years - and in the summers, I worked at WinShape Camps. Through those experiences, I fell in love with the business and the brand. After I interviewed for the Chick-fil-A, Inc. Leadership Development Program (LDP), I was so eager to join that I can remember the exact time and place where I was when I received my phone call about being accepted into the program. I was sitting on the steps of my apartment building. The sun was setting – it was like a movie. Ironically, I had to postpone my start date by just a few months because my wedding was planned for the very next month. Chick-fil-A allowed me to start the LDP program in January, so that I could bring my wife, Elle, with me. As an LDP participant, I have been an interim manager at 10 different restaurants over the past three years. I have gotten the opportunity to lead the grand opening for two restaurants as well as work at the corporate support center in facilities management for about four months. It’s been an incredible journey learning the ins and outs of restaurants in almost every region of the US..." — Christopher Devine, Leadership Development Program participant, Chick-fil-A, Inc. “My parents are from El Salvador and Honduras, and we live in Canada together with my two siblings, two grandparents and my uncle. We are very close, so relocating to Atlanta for a summer internship at Chick-fil-A, Inc. was a big step for me. When I applied for the summer internship at the corporate headquarters, I was stressed about the interview process because it was a totally new experience for me. Thankfully, the Chick-fil-A, Inc. recruitment Staff helped me to feel more comfortable. During the interviews, I felt truly listened to, and I really appreciated that. The first step was an online application, followed by a virtual interview. Then I had a second interview, and a final interview. I remember the day that I received their phone call. I was so excited to learn that I got the internship position – I was going to the Chick-fil-A Corporate Support Center! Even before I started the internship, I felt cared for. Chick-fil-A, Inc helped me to connect with other Interns several months in advance, so we were able to coordinate and become roommates while we were in Atlanta. I could tell right away that this was going to be an amazing group of people to spend the summer with. Leaving my family for 11 weeks was a little intimidating at first, but in the end, the opportunity was well worth it. During the Chick-fil-A, Inc. internship, I learned so much, and I’m looking forward to what the future may hold." - Vasti Lemus Martinez, former Chick-fil-A, Inc. Intern

When Brittany Cook started Chick-fil-A's Leadership Development Program (LDP) back in 2021, she embarked on the journey with goals of growing herself and building meaningful connections. Joined by her husband Shane accompanying her across the country, Brittany served in leadership roles at numerous Chick-fil-A restaurant locations and even completed a staff rotation at the Chick-fil-A Corporate Support Center. Now as a Chick-fil-A Owner-Operator in Arkansas, Brittany reflects on what she loved most about her LDP experience. “We have a lot of really smart people working on hard problems. We're bringing in one-of-a-kind, cutting-edge tools. We're working toward having real-time data so that people can make more real time decisions. We're working on streaming data. When we go to conferences and talk to vendors, we often find the solutions we need aren’t already out there. Usually, we’re the ones breaking new ground. We build the vast majority of our technology and solutions in-house, which is so exciting for me. I love building things. At Chick-fil-A, Inc., there's a lot of opportunity to make individual contributions, and we have a lot of flexibility in terms of proposing projects or identifying new tools to solve business problems. There’s freedom to innovate. And there’s so much opportunity — more than you’ll find at other companies. There’s a tremendous amount of passion and resources around data.” — Elizabeth Williams, Data Architecture Team

“Chick-fil-A, Inc. is very generous when it comes to its benefits for full-time employees because of how much it cares about its staff. I had the good fortune of being able to know and work with our founder, S. Truett Cathy, on occasion, and I remember him always saying that if you take care of your people, they’ll take care of you. That’s been our entire approach to benefits. It’s all about caring.” — Melissa Todd, Total Rewards Team

“The tech world is well-known for burning people out. There’s very little care for the individual — for their career path or their growth. The focus is on finding people to write as much code as possible. That is not how it works at Chick-fil-A, Inc. And I think that inspires us to do our best work, because we know that we’re cared for and valued by our company — not just for the code that we can write or the things that we can get done, but for the ideas that we bring. There’s also a recognition that we have a life that is more than our job. Certainly, our work is a large part of our lives, but it doesn’t define them. We have families. We’re parents. And that’s embraced. There’s a sense that you can bring your whole self to work.” — Jonathan Melville, Supply Chain Transformation, Tech

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, locally owned and operated Chick-fil-A restaurants and Chick-fil-A, Inc. are supporting those impacted – including residents, local Owner-Operators and their Team Members. Staff member Mark Ellison has volunteered with Team Chick-fil-A, a group of Support Center Staff, in Asheville, North Carolina this week, where Chick-fil-A's mobile kitchen is preparing thousands of chicken sandwiches and distributing to the community. “It’s been especially meaningful for me to serve the Asheville community this week. It’s really been a full circle moment for me, as I was first introduced to the brand as a college student experiencing a natural disaster. My college town had suffered a tornado, and the local Owner-Operator was on campus distributing food to students. The selflessness and care shown on that day, putting people first – is what sparked my interest in joining the organization. I’m truly humbled to have the opportunity to serve the Asheville community.” Learn more: https://lnkd.in/ghFBdZBv

"When I talk about Chick-fil-A, Inc., the main thing I tell people about is the opportunities we have for growth — especially in my role, as a software engineer in Chick-fil-A's Digital Fellow Program. It is such a big investment for Chick-fil-A in me as an individual. That is just not a common thing in other companies." — Julianny Pinott Velez, Software Engineer, Digital Fellow Program
