When a routine afternoon at the pool suddenly turned into a life-threatening emergency, our Pool Monitor at Concord Place Apartments relied on decades of experience, instinct, and faith to save the life of a 9-year-old boy. She was recently presented with the Edward Rose & Sons Above & Beyond Award for her courage, professionalism, and commitment to keeping our residents safe. Because of her actions, a family has their son home today—a true reminder that heroes don't always wear capes. Sometimes, they wear a pool monitor shirt.

It’s already been over a year since our Rose Buds Ambassador Program launched across the organization! The Rose Buds program pairs new hires with mentors to foster a supportive environment from day one. Over the past year, team members have consistently shared how impactful the program has been. Our Rose Buds Ambassadors have made a meaningful difference by helping new hires feel supported, answering questions, and checking in regularly throughout the onboarding journey. We look forward to continuing this positive momentum.

Over the past few months, our community teams have gone above and beyond: shoveling sidewalks, clearing entrances, salting icy paths, and making sure our residents and fellow team members could move safely through our communities. Snow days weren’t days off—they were calls to action. Keeping our communities safe from ice and snow is truly a team effort. It doesn’t happen by accident—it happens because of people who care deeply about doing the right thing, even when it’s tough, uncomfortable, and exhausting.
