Heart + Paw is built on the foundational belief that you should be able to practice happy, healthy, and successfully. Veterinarians have the autonomy to practice high-quality, pet-centric medicine while pursuing their own clinical interests. With longer appointment times and an emphasis on minimal-stress handling, our teams cultivate lasting relationships with pets and their parents and customize treatment plans to meet their individual needs.

“Most of us in this industry are here because we love pets and are passionate about their health and welfare, but while working in the companion animal space, I’m aware that we wouldn’t be able to do what we love without the pet parents who are trusting us with their pet’s care,” Mitchell said. “Ensuring a positive and rewarding experience for both the pet and parent is a goal of mine for every family that comes through our doors. I equally enjoy pet parent education, strengthening the companionship between pets and owners and community outreach and engagement.” Heart + Paw is excited to celebrate Malik Mitchell, Center Director at Heart + Paw Callowhill, as a winner of the dvm360® Practice Management #VeterinaryHero Award! Last weekend, Heart + Paw hosted their second National Dog Groomers Association of America (NDGAA) certification event at Heart + Paw Glen Mills, and it was a huge success! Groomers from all over, including Buffalo, NY, and Newport News, VA, gathered for two days of learning, networking, and certifying. NDGAA is the oldest and only trademarked certification title, serving as a testament to groomers' dedication and expertise. As there are currently no licensing or regulatory measures for groomers, certifications like NCMG provide essential standards to maintain the highest level of care and service for pets and pet parents. We look forward to supporting more Heart + Paw Stylists as they embark on their journey to earn their certifications and continue to raise the bar for excellence in the grooming world.
