McLarens US is celebrating and promoting talent within! Congratulations to Brice Espinoza, who was recently promoted to Executive General Adjuster (EGA). Based in Houston, Brice joined McLarens in 2018 and works with our Natural Resources team. He has proven expertise in areas such as Oilfield Equipment, Land/Mobile Rigs, Forestry Equipment, and Fraud Investigation. Also, Brice is actively involved with TASIU (Texas Association of Special Investigation Units) and IASIU (International Association of Special Investigation Units). We're lucky to have you, Brice!

Drum roll please for one of our colleagues at McLarens Aviation! The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced the winners of the 2nd edition of the IATA Diversity & Inclusion Awards this week. We are beyond excited to share that Lalitya Dhavala, MRAeS, Aviation Engineer, McLarens Aviation won the 2021 High Flyer Award. Congratulations Lali! The High Flyer award recognizes a young female professionals within aviation, who have demonstrated leadership in bringing concrete actions and embrace the opportunities of diversity and inclusion. This is an incredible achievement, with strong competition from across the aviation industry. The IATA Diversity & Inclusion Awards are sponsored by Qatar Airways. The award recognizes the work that Lali has done to not only champion the Diversity & Inclusion within McLarens; but the wider aviation community, in particular the Royal Aeronautical Society where she has recently been elected as the youngest member to the Advisory Council and Membership Services Board, a tremendous achievement in itself. Adding new executive talent! We are excited to share that Jennifer Barclay has joined McLarens as Global Head of Data & Analytics Strategy. This is a newly created executive role. Based in London, Jennifer will take the lead on the development and implementation of McLarens’ strategy around data capture, processing and delivery, and championing a data-driven culture across the global business. Jennifer joins McLarens with 13 years’ experience within the insurance sector, having worked with both national and international businesses including Crawford & Company, NFU Mutual and, most recently, as Head of Data Management (Global) at Beazley. A passionate Management Information (MI) and analytics leader, with notable expertise in leading complex analytical and regulatory projects, Jennifer has a wealth of experience across operations, building and embedding IT and business solutions, and delivering digital transformation programs. Jennifer commented: “Tech and innovation are clearly key pillars of McLarens’ growth strategy and I’m delighted to take on this important role in supporting

The Insurance Claims industry lost one of the greatest… With heavy heart and great sadness, we bid our final farewell to one of the greatest adjusters in the US. Our former McLarens colleague Rocco Bianchi, Executive General Adjuster, passed away last week. Rocco joined McLarens US in 2007. He had over 40 years of industry experience, serviced multiple assignments, and made lots of industry friends along the way. Rocco had exceptional knowledge and understanding of domestic and global property damage & time element loss adjustments involving commercial risks. His catastrophe experience covered fire, hurricane, tornado, earthquake and flood, boiler & machinery, and builders risk. Rocco’s opinion was respected and trusted by all. And his sharp dry wit was admirable. At McLarens US we are extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn from and work together with Rocco. Our thoughts are with his wife Stacie, friends, and former New York office colleagues at this time.

McLarens continues to grow and add new talent to its regional team in Latin America! We are pleased to share that Maria Vergara joins us as a Quality Surveyor and will be working out of our Puerto Rico office. As a civil engineer with a post graduate degree in Seismic Engineering Design, Maria Vergara comes to McLarens with over five years of experience in forensic engineering, structural engineering, and insurance industries. She has provided consultative services, performed visual inspections, root cause analysis, remedial engineering design, and cost estimation of insurance claims associated with complex structural failures of residential, educational, and hospitality properties across the Caribbean, and North and South America. Welcome, Maria!
