Paul Kundert, President/CEO In this season of thankfulness, I’m grateful for all my colleagues at UW Credit Union. This year, the numbers tell an incredible story: $404,889 raised through our annual giving campaign - a new record! In our business we don’t round numbers, and every dollar represents the generosity and commitment of our team to making a difference. Wishing everyone a joyful season of gratitude and community spirit. #iwork4uwcu #creditunions

Allison O'Grady, Learning & Development Manager Last week, I led a class of 38 through Crucial Conversations last week. Even as an extrovert, facilitating for 16 hours was a challenge—but it was also a powerful reminder of one of our most essential skill sets: the ability to communicate effectively with one another. Thank you to those who participated! . #iwork4uwcu #facilitating #crucialconversations
Paul Kundert, President/CEO I attended the Summer Learning Collaborative, sponsored by United Way of Dane County, where Poverty, by America by Matthew Desmond was on the reading list. Desmond powerfully explains why “the poor pay more,” highlighting bank overdraft fees as a prime example. These fees—often $25 to $35 for even minor shortfalls—create real financial stress for families. Someone asked, “Why does this go on, if everybody knows it’s wrong?” The answer is simple: someone profits, and too many others don’t care. Let’s be part of the group that does care, and advocate for change. Blake Mosser, Financial Specialist Yesterday I had the privilege of celebrating Hispanic Heritage month alongside my fellow members of our RaĂces ERG, where we come together to amplify our voices, share our stories, and build community within our workplace. This month is not only about reflection but also celebration of identity, resilience, and heritage. Looking forward to the events, conversations, and learning ahead!
Paige Patton, Teller A little over a year ago I almost talked myself out of applying to UW Credit Union, I'm glad I didn't. The team that took a chance on me has given me room to grow, and I have used it to the best of my ability. I learned the role quickly, built confidence serving members, and strengthened the fundamentals of professionalism. I have stepped into new challenges, from navigating busy periods to taking on unfamiliar tasks, I have gotten better at solving problems without losing touch on the human side of service. I am grateful for the managers and coworkers who have invested in me and have held me to a high standard. This job experience has changed how I see myself and what I am capable of. I am so excited for what is ahead at UW Credit Union and the opportunities to keep learning and contributing. If you are ever on the fence about applying for a job, because you don't think you are qualified, just do it. It will be worth it in the long run, and you will gain such valuable experience. Open the doors for yourself and push for improvement.
Paul Kundert, President/CEO What could be better than a 3 run hit to centerfield that seals the game for the Milwaukee Brewers (and gives some good air time to a proud sponsor)? A great night for the Crew. Jessica De Vicente, Branch Manager Kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month with our annual flag raising at work! The community, unity, diversity, and advocacy this brings every year fills my bucket. As a proud co-lead of our RAICÉS employee resources group I am honored and grateful to be able to plan events with the rest of our leadership team to celebrate the importance of this month (and really throughout the entire year). Viva la herencia hispana! 🎉 #iwork4uwcu
Kristina Wichser, Quality Assurance Specialist I had a good time with other UW Credit Union HYPE leaders at The Capital Times Power Hour listening to Joe Hamilton from Vortex Optics. Thanks for a great presentation. hashtag#iwork4uwcu
