It's expensive and continues to go up each year. The copays go up. There are opportunities to purchase a plan that does include your long-time doctor.

As a legacy Medco employee, the benefits with Express Scripts were significantly lower thane Medco's, but Medco no longer exists. Vacation and PTO were similar but slightly lower, and all now have to be earned first. Health benefits cost more to the employer, however one GOOD thing is that premiums are based on a sliding scale so that lower paid workers paid a smaller percentage as opposed to highly paid employees. They assess a working spouse with a $1000 additional cost to stay on health benefits, and a family plan has a $4000 deductible (but does include a company sponsored $2000 HRA).
