Pros

-selling is fun -team members are funny -cellphone allowance -good health, dental and 401k

Cons

Horrible over-micromanagement from people who do not know what they are doing. Theres a new business plan every week with district managers scrambling to please upper management by forcing reps to do stuff that does not even work for prospecting. Some reps are fed tons of leads while others are forced to come to the office and make cold calls in order to coherce them into quitting. The whole thing is a disgusting mess. This company must hate its customers. Everything bad you read in the other reviews is 100% accurate and this is why our great company got #6 for worst company to work for. If you want a job where management belittles you and treats you like scum then be sure to apply here, they will literally hire anyone who can pass a background check and drug test. Get the 2 months training pay and free trip to quickstart then quit.

Pros

Used to be a good job with work life balance and with work ethic you could make a decent living

Cons

The company is clearly taking steps to make this role nearly impossible to survive, company appointments have disappeared with no replacement and no change in pay structure (commission only) experienced guys are falling off left and right and there in a panic sale like attitude towards hiring, literally anyone with a car they will hire. They don't last 2 months and the viscous cycle continues. Office morale is depressing. Company has shifted outside sales to having installers sell now. Shady practices are happening internally like equipment being installed customers don't need or are unaware of what they are being charged, information like this gets passed to management and swept under the rug. In conclusion the ship is sinking to prop up metrics to appease shareholders while the company is actually crumbling, Customers can't wait to get away from ADT

Pros

Being able to work remotely

Cons

The hours were not flexible. The position required 10hrs a day 4-day work week. Breaks 10,10 and 30. A lot of times I worked over my shift to help a customer. They were long exhausting days; I do think the training could have prepared us a bit more in slow increments. I feel like I was thrown into the deep without proper help afterwards. They expect you to swim or sink and that is why they have a high turn around. They care more about metrics then their people or customers. They may have been around for more than years however this present brand does not represent the original brand at all. They need a special department for seniors. They expect seniors to get up and down on ladders, chairs to fix their faulty equipment. Its just a lot. It is all about their money definitely not the people. It's all about the marketing then they lock the poor people into a contract. so sad.
