Pros

This has always been a great company to work for, great benefits, great CEO's. Great income if you work really hard. But that is changing......

Cons

The company has lost touch with their employees, they have over hired on the sales floor, do not communicate with employees as to what is going on. I have been at the company over 5 years, but they have lost touch with the sales force which is the engine of the company. Marketing has been drastically reduced, making it harder and harder to make good income. I thought I would be able to retire from this company now with the changes which are affecting my income drastically and no communication from management as to why they are changing things etc.

Stingy with everything

Pros

Good work life balance. Depending on your team and manager, there’s certain gems who make it fun here.

Cons

They are so stingy with every single benefit here. Don’t let them lie to you and tell you they have a WFH policy - it’s only for select employees and comes with a LOT of restrictions. PTO is 15 days - they JUST changed it from 10 last year. Holidays are the bare minimum they can give. Even if July 4 lands on a Thursday, don’t worry they won’t give you that Friday off and will make you come in to work. Insurance plans are expensive with high deductibles. No snacks and they actually installed a vending machine in the break room with a large selection of food that you can PAY for. Management is so out of touch with Bay Area standards and refuse to update it. They might have won “best places to work in Arizona”...but that’s because it’s Arizona. San Mateo is not the same as Arizona and culture and needs are different here. When will management understand that? The leadership also doesn’t listen to employees. During the employee survey that went around, it was clear that company and team culture was unacceptable. Nothing has been done to remedy that except for adding more projects onto the workload. Do you know what culture is? It’s flexibility, trust in the employees, competent managers that care about the employee’s career trajectory. You have a TOXIC culture when a flood of employees have left in the past half year, a VP who has worked here for a year hasn’t been able to produce results, and the CMO is so defensive of every single decision that she can’t take other people’s opinions or even have an accurate pulse on what’s going on in the team.

Pros

When I started the company culture was one that was competitive, but everyone wanted everyone else to succeed. It was a culture that helped each other and wanted everyone to win. In training class it was sold as the heart (helping) is more important than the dollar and they truly meant it. Another positive was the ability to pick a schedule that was flexible (i.e. days and the time of day).

Cons

After they started expanding so rapidly the culture changed. It became a place where the new people didn't care about anyone but themselves and a lot of stealing of leads would happen. There was a new manager that came in and he wasn't all about the heart over the dollar. The dollar was the bottom line. They sell you on the idea of making so much money and use unrealistic examples. They sight people who are making 6 figures but don't tell you those people are working on their days off and not on the clock. They are putting in 50-60 hours per week.
